 GROUP VICE PRESIDENT, PUBLICATION SERVICES
 NEW YORK, May 13 /PRNewswire/ -- McGraw-Hill, Inc. (NYSE: MHP) today named Norbert Schumacher group vice president, Publication Services, with responsibility for the company's Aviation Week Group, Computers and Communications Information Group, the Science and Technology Group, and Communications Information Group, the Science and Technology Group, and


Industries Group, since 1988 when he relocated from Lausanne, Switzerland, to New York. The group was renamed Science and Technology Group in 1990.
 He joined McGraw-Hill in 1971 in Frankfurt as district manager for Modern Plastics and Modern Plastics International for Germany, Austria, Eastern Europe and Scandinavia. He later became advertising sales manager and managing director for Modern Plastics International in Lausanne and subsequently was named publisher.
 In 1984, Schumacher was named international marketing director for the newly formed Process Industries Group. He was appointed vice president/group publisher-international operations for the Industrial and Process Industries Group in 1987.
 He holds a chemical engineering degree from Ingenieur Schule Essen in Germany.
 McGraw-Hill is one of the world's leading publishing and information services companies. Sales for 1991 were $1.9 billion.
