"Bill McDonald brings to his new post the varied and diverse background necessary to compete in today's local telecom environment," said Peterson. "The telephone industry of today and tomorrow will be dramatically different than the past, and I am confident he can meet the challenges ahead."
Cross most recently served as vice president of transition and integration at Sprint, where he has been involved with Sprint's merger with Centel Corporation which went into effect in March of this year. "Dale's background will enable us to capitalize on his experience with Centel's local operations and help us implement the best of both worlds," said Peterson.
