MCDONALD'S SERVES THOUSANDS AT WORLD YOUTH DAY

 DENVER, Aug. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- McDonald's began serving a special World Youth Day '93 menu on Monday, Aug. 9 as many of the 172,000 youth from around the world began converging on Denver for the international celebration of young adults and youth.
 As the official food service concessionaire of World Youth Day '93, McDonald's will be the exclusive food service for the events at Aurari Campus, Civic Center Park, The Sports Complex and Cherry Creek State Park. A variety of foods will be available at all sites for breakfast, lunch and dinner during the event. Breakfast meal tickets will be $3, lunch/dinner $5 and snack tickets $1 each.
 A sample of menu items for lunch and dinner include hamburgers, pasta salad, grilled chicken sandwich, BBQ Beef sandwich, fresh fruit and corn on the cob. For breakfast, a sample of menu items includes bagels, danish, fresh fruit and granola bars.
 McDonald's expects to serve 1.6 million meals over the seven days of operation between Aug. 9 and Aug. 15 with the help of nearly 6,000 volunteers, licensee and Corporate staff from around the country.
