MCA TV INTERNATIONAL APPOINTS ITARU KUREBAYASHI PRESIDENT OF MCA TV JAPAN

 UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif., Nov. 19 ~PRNewswire~ -- Colin P. Davis, president of MCA TV International, has today announced the appointment of Itaru Kurebayashi as president, MCA TV Japan.
 Kurebayashi, who will report to Davis, will be responsible for developing sales and marketing opportunities for MCA's feature films and TV product to free television in Japan. Kurebayashi assumes these duties from Pal Cleary, the MCA TV International sales executive who stepped in on an interim basis following the 1990 retirement of Keinosuke Kuragaki. Cleary will continue to handle the other Asian markets, including Taiwan and Korea.
 In making the announcement, Davis noted: "For quite some time, we've been looking for someone to meet the specific demands of the Japanese market. Mr. Kurebayashi's diverse advertising and media background combined with his comprehensive understanding of the market will enable him to direct the expansion of our growing market base."
 Prior to this appointment, Kurebayashi was director, Tokyo Advertising Center of the Corporate Advertising Division for Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. Ltd. Since 1960 he has served in a variety of advertising and production capacities within that division, including: general manager, Planning Department; general manager, Product Advertising Department; and TV Group manager, Media Department.
