MC EWAN MANDELL NAMED DIRECTOR OF MARKETING, NEWS ELECTRONIC DATA, INC.

 NEW YORK, March 2 /PRNewswire/ -- John B. Evans, president and CEO of News Electronic Data, Inc., (NED), announced today the appointment of McEwan Mandell as director of marketing.
 Mandell, 38, was previously eastern regional sales manager for Etak, Inc. (supplier of nationwide digital map data) and brings with him outstanding credentials in the technology and management field. Prior to Etak, Mandell held varied marketing and technical positions in the electronics communications field. Mandell holds a bachelor's degree from Rollins College.
 News Electronic Data, Inc., is a subsidiary of the News Corporation (NYSE: NWS), a global media conglomerate. NED is developing electronic versions of News Corporation's worldwide databases compatible with the digital electronic world now forming.
