 MAYNARD ANNOUNCES BACKUP SUPPORT FOR UNIVEL'S UNIXWARE
 LAKE MARY, Fla., June 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Maynard Electronics, an Archive(R) company, today announced that its ArchiveST(TM) and ArchiveVP(R) tape drive solutions are fully compatible with Univel's UnixWare(R) product. These tape drives offer storage capacities ranging from 60MB to 2.0GB on a single tape.

"End-users will have proven and extensive tape drive support for backup and software distribution upon shipment of UnixWare products."

 The ArchiveST product family, Maynard's SCSI-based solutions for UNIX environments, offers improved data transfer rates through the optimization of device drives and comparability with a broad range of SCSI host adapters. The ArchiveST product line offers four configurations: the ArchiveST 250, 250MB quarter-inch cartridge drive; the ArchiveST 525, 525MB quarter-inch cartridge drive; the ArchiveST 4000 DAT, 2GB 4mm DAT drive; and the ArchiveST 1350, 1.35GB quarter-inch cartridge drive, scheduled to begin shipping this summer. For user convenience, ArchiveST systems include commonly required installation hardware, including terminators, cabling, rails, jumpers and media. Suggested retail prices for the ArchiveST product line currently range from $1,230 to $3,400.
 Maynard's ArchiveVP product line, a quarter-inch data cartridge solution, supports Univel's UnixWare operating environments, with capacities ranging from 60MB to 150MB, up to 250MB with extended length tapes. Suggested retail prices for the ArchiveVP product line range from $995 to $1,795.
 As part of a corporate commitment to workstations and PC-based UNIX customers, Maynard has established a dedicated UNIX business unit including UNIX-trained customer support specialists, a toll-free technical support hotline, 24-hour electronic bulletin board service, and 24-hour person-to-person technical support. All Maynard products include a one-year warranty and a 48-hour repair policy for all in-warranty customer equipment, within the continental United States.
