 MAYA ANGELOU TO APPEAR ON BET'S 'OUR VOICES' APRIL 30
 WASHINGTON, April 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Renowned author, poet and


educator Maya Angelou is the featured guest for a live, half-hour interview on Black Entertainment Television's (BET) "Our Voices," Thursday, April 30, at 10:30 a.m. EDT.
 Hostess Bev Smith will conduct a one-on-one interview with Angelou, author of "I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings" and "Gather Together in My Name." The discussion with Angelou will focus on issues facing black America, specifically family, education and politics. In addition, Angelou will discuss her latest projects. Viewers will have the opportunity to call in and speak with Angelou directly.
 "Our Voices," a presentation of BET's News and Public Affairs Department, features a variety of personalities who explore a wide range of subjects from politics and literature to fine arts. Most programs provide viewers the opportunity to call in and speak with the guest directly.
