 MAXCOM USA, INC. ANNOUNCES MAXLINK MARINE SERVICE
 WALTHAM, Mass., Nov. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- MaxCom USA, Inc. today


announced its innovative Electronic Messaging Service for the maritime industry. Its service, MAXLINK MARINE(tm), enables anyone who depends on Inmarsat-A satellite transmissions to save upwards of 50 percent to 75 percent on their monthly communications cost.
 MAXLINK MARINE offers satellite users high speed ship-to-shore transfer of text and data messages with reliable transmission integrity. The service incorporates high speed data links, unique command scripting language and a proven store and forward E-mail service. Effective messaging throughput is up to 3-4 times greater than current methods. Message types range from simple text to highly formatted binary files, and include global fax, telex and X.400 delivery.
 The service is used by the maritime industry, but will apply to any business that utilizes Inmarsat-A satellite transmission. MaxCom has been providing this service to its largest customers for over two years, enabling them to greatly reduce satellite usage charges. Bruce Laughon of MaxCom states, "The addition of the MAXLINK MARINE(tm) service further enhances the capabilities of MaxCom's International Public Electronic Mail System, which has been in global operation since 1983."
 MaxCom develops and markets electronic mail systems including the Maxlink International Public Service for e-mail, telex, and facsimile applications, and the COMET family of software products for DEC environments.
 MAXLINK MARINE service is available now, and will be sold direct by MaxCom, as well as through authorized resellers throughout the world.
