MAX FACTOR RAPIST CAUGHT BY HUNTER.
FUGITIVE date rapist Andrew Luster, heir to the Max Factor cosmetics empire, was tracked down by a bounty hunter yesterday five months after he fled his trial.
Duane Chapman snatched the 39-year-old in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
Both men and a team of four from TV show America's Most Wanted were arrested - under Mexican law bounty hunters are kidnappers.
The FBI began extradition proceedings to take Luster back to California.
He fled in January while on trial for drugging three women and raping them. He was convicted in his absence and jailed for 124 years. Police searching his California home found videos of him having sex with unconscious women.
Captain Chris Lathrop, of Ventura County Sheriff's Department in California, said: "Luster is under lock and key. The FBI are on their way down to figure out what the Mexican authorities want to do with him."
Luster's lawyer Roger Diamond said he did not know where he was. Last week a Californian court ruled Luster forfeited his right to appeal by jumping bail.
