MARTIN MARIETTA SUBSIDIARY NAMES NEW VICE PRESIDENT

 BETHESDA, Md., Dec. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Martin Marietta (NYSE: ML) has promoted Linda R. Renfro to the position of vice president of software services for the corporation's technical services subsidiary.
 Renfro, 39, will be responsible for the company's technical service contracts in the eastern region of the United States, including her current role as program manager for Martin Marietta's software support service contract with the Social Security Administration's Office of Systems Design and Development.
 Associated with Martin Marietta since 1980, Renfro has advanced through a series of senior technical and management positions focused on information systems initiatives.
 Renfro, born in Youngstown, Ohio, is a 1977 graduate of Youngstown State University with a bachelor of science degree in computer science.
 Martin Marietta Technical Services, Inc., is a wholly owned subsidiary of the corporation, providing information services support and program management, systems development, installation, operation and maintenance, and hardware assembly for government and commercial customers. The subsidiary currently employs 1,100 professional and technical staff members at nearly 20 locations worldwide.
