MARSH EDELSTEIN NAMED GRAND CASINOS, INC.'S DIRECTOR OF ENTERTAINMENT

 MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Marsh Edelstein, well-known Minneapolis show business entrepreneur, has been named director of entertainment for burgeoning Grand Casinos, Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: GRND). The appointment was announced by Richard Schuetz, vice president of marketing for Grand Casinos, Inc., the management company for Grand Casinos Hinckley and Mille Lacs, Minn.
 Edelstein is a veteran of 30-plus years in the entertainment industry. As president of Marsh Productions for 29 years, he managed, booked and worked with internationally known entertainers including Count Basie, Duke Ellington and Maynard Ferguson, as well as nationally famous recording artists for virtually every major label, including Aerosmith, Jefferson Starship, Kansas, Sha-Na-Na and Willie Nelson; established his own successful recording studio (Soundways International); and owned and operated his popular nightclub and restaurant (Marsh's). His companies have secured talent for major casinos in Las Vegas, Reno, Lake Tahoe and major resorts in numerous other areas, both in the United States and overseas. His bookings for fairs and corporate events have been legion. He also owned and operated Edelstein and Associates, a major advertising agency, as well as a successful modeling agency.

 Grand Casinos Hinckley and Mille Lacs offer entertainment seven nights a week, featuring comedy on Sunday (three shows nightly starting at 8), variety acts each Monday (four shows nightly starting at 8:30) and top musical groups and performers Tuesday through Saturday night (four shows nightly beginning at 8:30).
 Grand Casinos, Inc., develops and manages casinos primarily for Indian tribes on Indian land. The company's common stock is traded on the NASDAQ National Market System under the symbol GRND. Grand Casinos, Inc., is currently in the process of developing two casinos in Louisiana and three dockside casinos on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, the latter three non-Indian related.
