MARQUARDT MANUFACTURING TO OPEN SHEETMETAL FABRICATION PLANT IN ARKANSAS

 VAN NUYS, Calif., Feb. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Marquardt Manufacturing Inc. a southern California-based aerospace manufacturer, announced today that it was planning to operate a sheetmetal fabrication company to produce metal ordnance containers for military and commercial customers. The new company, Southern Metal Containers, will be located in Pocohantas, Arkansas, according to an announcement made by Marquardt chairman and chief executive officer Lenn Kristal.
 Mr. Kristal said that Southern Metal Containers will commence production in March 1993 on a multi-million dollar missile container contract for Hill Air Force Base in Utah. The company will employ state-of-the-art computer numeric controlled machinery and processing.
 Mr. Kristal said the company will operate out of space leased from Northern Technologies Manufacturing Corporation on Pace Road. The company will initially employ approximately 25 workers with experience in sheetmetal fabricating and welding.
