MAPICS Recognized as 2004 Top 100 Business Software Vendor by MSI Magazine.

ATLANTA -- MAPICS, Inc. (Nasdaq/NM: MAPX), a leading global provider of enterprise solutions for world-class manufacturers, announced it has again been selected by MSI magazine as one of the Top 100 business software vendors. The annual listing is based on a vendor survey conducted by MSI, and the rankings are based on total revenues in calendar year 2003.

For more than a decade, the MSI Top 100 has ranked the business solutions leaders in a number of key application categories including enterprise resource planning (ERP), supply chain management (SCM), customer relationship management (CRM), product lifecycle management (PLM) and plant management.

"We are delighted to be included in this list of top vendors and solutions providers and honored to be acknowledged for our continued growth and progress," said Dick Cook, president and CEO of MAPICS. "Our successes can be attributed to our continued commitment and focus on manufacturing, to our delivery of solutions that help our customers create value for their customers and shareholders, and to our providing our customers a competitive advantage in their marketplace."

MSI, in conjunction with research from ARC Advisory Group, AMR Research, CiMdata, and ChainLink Research, ranks the leading business software vendors involved in the automation of plan, source, make and deliver business production processes. The 2004 list reflects the changing technology landscape, which includes increased compliance requirements needs and the continued effects of market consolidation. The MSI Top 100 is featured in the July 2004 issue of MSI magazine.
