MAPEI commits to plant 200,000 trees.
AMERICAN FORESTS announces our partnership with MAPEI, a world-leading manufacturer of building materials including adhesives, sealants, and other products.
To mark the latest addition to its eco-friendly Ultrabond ECO[R] line--and underscore its overall commitment to the environment--in 2010 MAPEI will contribute $1 to AMERICAN FORESTS' Global ReLeaf program from each pail sold to plant a tree.
"As the construction industry begins its recovery from the current downturn, we want it to be a green recovery as well," said Luigi Di Geso, President and CEO of MAPEI Americas. Gerry Gray, acting executive director of AMERICAN FORESTS, congratulated MAPEI on its vision and commitment. Over the course of the year, MAPEI's generous donation promises to help plant 200,000 trees through Global ReLeaf.
MAPEI's Ultrabond ECO[R] line offers a variety of specially formulated products with extremely low volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions. In addition, the company is working to incorporate phthalate-free formulations from renewable materials into several Ultrabond ECO adhesives for nail-free wood flooring. These eco-friendly and virtually odor-free products are suited for use in green building projects.
