MANY congratulations to Holly Willoughby who, for the third time in a row, has beaten off stiff competition to land a primetime presenting job on a show made by her husband's production company.
It's quite a winning streak she's got going on there and, no, I don't know how she does it either.
POTENTIAL future irritant of the week. Clive Myrie's rather exaggerated "Yee-essss" whenever a contestant got a question right on Mastermind.
That aside, Clive's debut was a masterclass in how to be effortlessly understated.
This longrunning BBC2 quiz show is clearly in safe hands.
Thing Most Likely To Make You Say... "Oh, great."
Of The Week.
ITV'S boss Kevin Lygo confirming this week that Love Island will continue for "many more years".
WEEK Two of the rebooted Changing Rooms, and I think it's already clear who is the major/only winner in this pointless Channel 4 project.
It's Davina McCall, who had to pull out of hosting the show after Covid delays had caused an irresolvable clash in her diary.
Davina's gain is poor old Anna Richardson's loss. She's the one having to put up with an outdated format and Laurence Llewelyn- Bowen's increasingly bizarre demands for attention and praise.
I'm not saying his ego is out of control but I think we can all have a guess at whose idea it was to have "Starring Laurence Llewelyn- Bowen" stamped all over the show's credits.
