MANAGEMENT WHO'S NEWS PERSONNEL.

Grubb & Ellis Company announced the appointment of Joel S. Herskowitz as senior vice president and managing director of the firm's tri-state regional offices. In his new role, Herskowitz will be responsible for hiring,, training, and supervising brokers, as well as overseeing the firm's marketing, research, and analytical capabilities.

Herskowitz is a real estate professional with more than 17 years of experience in commercial and residential brokerage. Prior to joining Grubb & Ellis, he was executive managing director with Newmark & Company Real Estate, Inc., where he managed brokerage functions for all of the firm's offices throughout the United States.

Herskowitz currently resides in Great Neck N.Y.

Ballinger announced the appointment of Keith C. H. Mock, AIA, as principal.

Mock joined the firm as senior project manager in 1997. He has more than 20 years of experience in architecture and has overseen project design, project management, staff management, and client relationships.

Among Mock's projects is the 487,000 SF U.S. Human Health Headquarters in Upper Gwynedd, Penn. and the corporate headquarters for Deloitte Consulting.

William Welge recently joined Realty Data Corp. as director of sales, marketing, and business development

Welge will be leading Realty Data's efforts to acquire new clients, open new markets, and look for methods to branch out into diverse business sectors. He will also institute a comprehensive marketing, sales, and business development plan to support the company's geographical expansion across the country.

Welge has extensive experience in sales, marketing, and Internet business development. He has worked with companies such as Bigchair.com, First Federal Savings, and Main Street Mortgage to develop business growth strategies and acquisitions. He has been instrumental in developing and launching a number of successful e-business enterprises. Welge specializes in e-commerce programs for both the business-to-business market and the business-to-consumer market.

Cooper Square Realty announced the addition of Tresha Rodriquez, Deirdre Owen, and Thomas McAteer to its sales and leasing department.

Tresha Rodriguez has been in the real estate industry since the mid-90's. Prior to joining Cooper Square, she worked for the Corcoran Group, where she was consistently named one of the top five Rental Agents of the Year. Rodriquez earned a B.A. in history and journalism and has studied acting at Harvard's American Repertory Theatre.

Deirdre Owen joined Cooper Square with more than five years of sales and leasing experience. Recently, she received the "Rookie of the Year" award. Owen is a native of Southern California, where she received an M.F.A. in dance.

Thomas McAteer worked in the real estate industry for five years as a sales agent and rental manager before joining Cooper Square. His client roster includes both Fortune Five Hundred companies and small families. Prior to entering real estate, McAteer worked in management consulting and in theatre. He is a graduate of the University of Edinburgh.
