MANAGEMENT TECHNOLOGIES SIGNS MARKETING AGREEMENT FOR IBS-KETEL'S UNIX INTERNATIONAL BANKING SYSTEM

 MANAGEMENT TECHNOLOGIES SIGNS MARKETING AGREEMENT
FOR IBS-KETEL'S UNIX INTERNATIONAL BANKING SYSTEM
NEW YORK, Oct. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Management Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: MTCI) a developer of software for international banking, will market a Unix-based international banking system developed by IBS-Ketel under an agreement providing MTI with a minimum of 50 percent of the product revenues from each sale.
The partnership is part of MTI's continued expansion into the Unix market. The company currently offers risk management and touch-screen trading on Unix, an operating system which is increasingly in demand by banks. MTI recently announced a partnership with Hewlett-Packard under which HP will provide resources and financial assistance for MTI to move its existing systems to HP and to develop additional products for Hewlett-Packard. The IBS Unix system, developed by a privately held- software company, combines international banking functions with office automation and is available for HP and other hardware manufacturers running Unix. IBS-Unix is ideally suited to small international banks or bank branches, providing new sales opportunities for MTI.
"With this agreement, MTI further expands the range of products we can offer to banks," said Anthony J. Cataldo, MTI's president. "From mainframe back office software systems for major money centers to banks' foreign branches, we can now provide banks with systems that fit their processing volumes both at the head office and overseas."
The recent Unix agreements are part of an expansion program MTI has undertaken since Mr. Cataldo joined the company as president last year.
"We continue to look for acquisitions and partnerships that will enhance MTI's product line, provide banks with the choices they want, and enlarge the company's market share," Mr. Cataldo added. "We see this expansion as a way of leveraging the highly skilled sales force that has joined MTI over the last several months and increasing the value we bring to our relationships with banks."
MTI trades on NASDAQ under MTCI for common stock and warrants.
