MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE FOR NATIONSBANK TRUST AND PRIVATE BANKING ANNOUNCED
 ATLANTA, Nov. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- The management structure for NationsBank Trust and Private Banking was announced today by Hugh Chapman, vice chairman of C&S/Sovran and designated chairman of NationsBank South.
 NationsBank is the company to be formed through the merger of NCNB Corporation (NYSE: NCB) and C&S/Sovran Corporation (NYSE: CVN), scheduled for completion on December 31, 1991.
 Chapman said the appointments are designed to bring NCNB and C&S/Sovran managers into NationsBank groups that reflect the fundamental strengths both organizations share.
 "Trust and Private Banking represent separate but clearly interrelated lines of business," Chapman said. "I am confident that, with a common vision and strong management, we can be among the leaders throughout the broad spectrum of markets we serve."
 Private Banking
 Timothy Arnoult will be president of Private Banking for NationsBank, Chapman said. Arnoult is in charge of Private Banking for NCNB Texas and is president of NCNB's banking office in Houston. He will move to Atlanta and report directly to Chapman. The Private Bank management team will be announced soon. Trust
 James B. Sommers, previously named president of NationsBank Trust, said his organization is positioned as one of truly national stature.
 "With offices in eight states and the District of Columbia, trust assets of $150 billion and revenues of $325 million, this organization clearly offers an exciting growth opportunity," Sommers said. "The management team we have selected will provide the leadership we need to build on this major market base."
 The Trust group will be organized nationally along three major lines of business: Instutional Trust; Investments and Personal Trust. It will be supported by a national Administrative Support and Planning Team.
 The principal managers in each area will report directly to Sommers. They are listed below.
 Institutional Trust
 Richard R. Tinervin, Institutional Trust executive for NCNB in Dallas, will be Institutional Trust executive for NationsBank. Reporting to Tinervin will be:
 -- Anthony A. (Tony) Guthrie, Securities Services executive for NationsBank Trust. He is manager of Corporate Trust for C&S/Sovran in Atlanta. In his new position, he will be responsible for Corporate Trust, Mortgage Custody, Stock Transfer and Corporate Trust Sales.
 -- James E. Paschal, manager of Compliance Support for NationsBank Institutional Trust. He is manager of Compliance for NCNB Institutional Trust in Dallas.
 -- Steven D. Poole, Employee Benefits executive, NationsBank Trust. Based in Dallas, he is manager of New Business Development for NCNB's Trust Group. Poole will have responsibility for core Employee Benefits accounts, Employee Benefits Service Centers and Institutional Sales nationally.
 -- Merwin L. Rogers, Consulting Services executive for NationsBank Trust. Rogers, based in Charlotte, is manager of Institutional Trust in the Southeast for NCNB. He will have responsibility for actuarial/benefit planning, ESOP consulting, performance measurement, 401(k) Product Management and sales/technical support.
 Investment Management
 Charles G. Smith IV will be Principal Investment Officer of the NationsBank Trust Group. Based in Charlotte, he serves in the same role for NCNB. Reporting to Smith will be:
 -- Donald G. Berdine of Dallas, Portfolio Management executive for NationsBank Trust. He serves a similar role for NCNB.
 -- Floyd T. Boyce, Real Estate Investment Services executive, a role he fills with NCNB. Boyce lives in Charlotte.
 -- Robert V. Callahan, Trust Investment Product Management executive. He is manager of Trust Investments for C&S/Sovran in Atlanta.
 -- Stuart A. Sachs, president of NationsBank Capital Management. He fills a similar position for C&S/Sovran in Richmond.
 -- Mark H. Williamson, MarketMaster Funds manager, and Steven W. Duff, Hatteras Funds manager. They fill similar roles with C&S/Sovran and NCNB, respectively. Williamson lives in Atlanta and Duff lives in Charlotte.
 Personal Trust
 David W. Fisher of Dallas, Personal Trust executive for NCNB, will be Personal Trust executive for NationsBank. Reporting to him will be:
 -- John O. Allen Jr., Professional Services executive. He is manager of Strategic Planning for NCNB Trust in Charlotte. Allen will have responsibility for Tax, Real Estate, Distribution and Personal Trust Service Centers nationwide.
 -- Ward Curtis Jr., Southern Personal Trust executive. He will be responsible for NationsBank's Personal Trust activities in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee and Kentucky, a role he fills with C&S/Sovran. He lives in Atlanta.
 -- Robert E. Howard will be responsible for Personal Trust activities in North Carolina and South Carolina. Additionally, he will be Eastern Personal Trust executive for NationsBank. He is manager of Private Banking and Trust in South Carolina for NCNB and lives in Columbia, S.C.
 -- Hugh K. (Pat) Leary will be responsible for Personal Trust activities in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia. He will be Mid-Atlantic Personal Trust executive for NationsBank. Currently, he is manager of the Mid-Atlantic Region for C&S/Sovran and lives in Richmond.
 -- F. Huling (Hu) Poston, Personal Trust New Business Development executive. Based in Charlotte, Poston is New Business Development executive for NCNB in the Southeast. He will be responsible for Personal Trust sales nationwide.
 -- Rowland K. (Robin) Robinson, manager of Personal Trust in Texas and Western Personal Trust executive. Additionally, he will be responsible for the Trust Oil and Gas business. He is manager of Personal Trust in Texas for NCNB and lives in Dallas. Strategic Planning
 Jerry W. Dawson of Atlanta, manager of Support Services for C&S/Sovran Trust, will be Trust Administrative Support and Planning executive for NationsBank. Reporting to Dawson will be:
 -- Paul V. Cropley, manager of Trust Strategic Planning. He fills that role with C&S/Sovran in Atlanta.
 -- Charles E. Nesbitt, Sales Support manager. He is in a similar role with NCNB in Charlotte.
 -- William T. Walsh, Compliance manager. He serves that role for C&S/Sovran, based in Atlanta.
