MANAGE YOUR CD WITH CDROLLER.

CDRoller Soft Co. Ltd. has released CDRoller 2.05 for Windows 95/98, a powerful set of low- and high-level Data and Audio CD media management utilities integrated into a common intuitive shell.

CDRoller utilizes a proprietary driver to access the CD drive directly, bypassing the Windows File System. Due to direct access to the hardware, CDRoller increases disc reading reliability in two ways. First, while reading the damaged areas, CDRoller applies some low-level methods depending on CD drive type that may result in success. Second, if an error has occured in reading the system area, CDRoller forces extended data located on it for error recovering.

Unlike Windows Explorer, CDRoller displays audio tracks as files of real sizes contained on Audio or Mixed (data plus audio) disc. Further, audio tracks can be simply copied to HDD by drag-and-drop operation utilizing the method known as Digital Audio Extraction.

If you need to check whether your CD is damaged or not, you should only run CD media test. The tester checks CD system area to verify that the disc is readable. It can also determine whether each folder is valid or not, and finally, the tester may scan the disc surface entirely, reading every sector on your CD.

To organize your CDs into the library, CDRoller offers a fast and easy-to-use CD catalog with detailed searching settings that control where to search and how to search. CD cataloguer is based on creating and using CD image - a file containing all disc storage structure. With its embedded powerful data compression engine, CDRoller packs an average CD image into a single file of several tens of kilobytes, not megabytes.

Using Session Selector, you can choose which session on a multisession CD you want to access - meaning that you are not limited to accessing only the last session, as compared with Windows standard tools.

CDRoller gives you an interface similar to the well-known Windows Explorer with file property pages, context menus and drag-and-drop support.

CDRoller 2.05 is available exclusively for Windows 95/98. It requires 2 megabytes of HDD space and a CD drive with IDE or SCSI interface.

CDRoller 2.05 costs $39.95(US) for a single-user license. Site licenses are available. You can download a full-featured evaluation version of CDRoller at http://www.cdroller.com. For more information, visit CDRoller's website or send e-mail to sales@cdroller.com
