MAN IN COURT FOR STEALING AIR FRESHENER.

A MAN admitted breaking into a city centre apartment block and stealing an air freshener.

John Ennis was caught after a resident spotted him in the communal area of the flats in Ellerman Road.

When police arrested the 40-year-old he was found with a hacksaw and the air freshener.

Ennis, of Marmion Road, Aigburth, denied stealing envelopes and going equipped to burgle on September 10.

But he pleaded guilty to burglary and stealing the plug-in air freshener at Liverpool crown court.

Derek Jones, prosecuting, said his plea was acceptable.

He added: "He was found with the hacksaw so there was an element of pre-meditation."

Ennis, was bailed to appear on February 2 to be sentenced.
