 TO HEAD LOS ANGELES OFFICE OF NATIONAL LAW FIRM
 LOS ANGELES, April 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Howard D. Fabrick, a nationally known entertainment labor law specialist whose industry career has ranged from "Easy Rider" to "JFK," today was named partner-in-charge of the Los Angeles office for Proskauer Rose Goetz & Mendelsohn.
 A former labor relations vice president of Columbia Pictures, he joined the 360-member international law firm in 1981 and helped build its now-sizable entertainment industry practice.
 He replaces Bernard Gold, who has served as the founding partner-in- charge of the 117-year-old firm's Los Angeles office since 1979. Gold, also a prominent entertainment industry labor expert, will continue his active practice.
 Fabrick's clients have included Universal Studios, George Lucas' Lucasfilm, Orion Pictures, Mark Goodson Productions and Carolco Pictures. Among the motion pictures he has worked on are "Easy Rider," "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner," "Rocky," "Indiana Jones," "City Slickers," "Terminator 2," "Hook" and "JFK."
 A graduate of Stanford University and its school of law, Fabrick also has served as an attorney with the National Labor Relations Board, The Burbank Studios and the Association of Motion Picture and Television Producers.
 Active in a variety of professional and civic organizations, he has spent 16 years as a board member of the Foundation for the Junior Blind and 10 years as its president. He also is a board member of the Permanent Charities Committee of the Entertainment Industries.
 Proskauer Rose Goetz & Mendelsohn's Los Angeles office includes 40 attorneys whose specialities include creditors' rights, real estate, general business and litigation, as well as labor and entertainment. In addition to the firm's original office in New York, it also has offices in San Francisco, Washington D.C., Clifton, N.J. and Paris.
