 TUSTIN, Calif., Nov. 17 ~PRNewswire~ -- MAI Systems Corporation (NYSE: MCO) announced today that the lending banks under its U.S. and Canadian Credit Agreements had failed to grant a further extension beyond November 16, 1992 of the maturity of approximately $77 million principal amount of indebtedness outstanding thereunder and that, as a result, the Company is in default with respect to such indebtedness. The lending banks have not taken any action in connection with this default, and the Company intends to discuss with such lenders the possible rescheduling of this indebtedness. The Company cannot predict the effect of this development on its ongoing business or the outcome of these discussions.
