 MAGUIRE GROUP NAMES NEW PRESIDENT AND CHAIRMAN
 FOXBORO, Mass., Feb. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Maguire Group Inc.,


an architectural, engineering and planning firm, has appointed Richard J. Repeta as president and chief executive officer and Theodore W. Griesinger as chairman of the board of directors. Repeta, 49, and Griesinger, 62, take the place of Vincent Cangiano, 65, who recently announced his retirement.
 A civil engineer, Repeta joined Maguire Group in 1970 and moved up through the company to become vice president and operations manager of Connecticut in 1978. He had complete charge of the soils engineering work in Connecticut which included several major highway projects, industrial parks, sewage treatment facilities, airport pavement designs and analysis, industrial buildings and waterfront facilities. He continued his growth and in 1985, was promoted to senior vice president and New England operations manager. In 1988, he was promoted to executive vice president and in 1990, named chief operating officer.
 Prior to joining Maguire Group, Repeta was with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers where he taught advanced courses in construction procedures and design and established quality control programs for various projects.
 Repeta is a registered professional engineer in the states of Connecticut, Massachusetts and North Carolina. He earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees in civil engineering from the University of Massachusetts. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, National Society of Professional Engineers and Connecticut Society of Engineers. Also, Repeta was a member of the board of directors of the Connecticut Engineers in Private Practice and the Connecticut Association of Street and Highway Officials. He resides in Avon, Conn., with his wife and two children.
 As chairman, Griesinger brings a substantial background in business and engineering to Maguire. Currently, he is a director and executive vice president of Seragen, Inc., Hopkinton, one of Massachusetts largest biotechnology companies and co-general partner of Harborlight Associates, an investment and real estate partnership. He is also a trustee of Boston University and Keuka College.
 Griesinger served as European vice president of T.I.C. Engineers and then founded his own engineering company in London, England, in 1968. In 1979, he moved company headquarters to Boston, sold all operations except training, renaming the company to International Training and Education Company where he served as president until 1989.
 Other members of Maguire's board of directors are Charles Hamilton Davison, chairman and chief executive officer of Paramount Cards in Pawtucket, R.I.; Francis C. Pierce, P.E., consultant; and Repeta.
 Maguire Group, Inc.'s corporate office is located in Foxboro, Mass. The regional offices are located in Foxboro and New Britain, Conn. Other Maguire offices are located in Providence, R.I.; and Pittsburgh, Pa.; with project offices located in Philadelphia and Irwin, Pa., and Hartford, Conn. The 54-year-old firm employs approximately 350 employees.
