MADDEN APPOINTED PRESIDENT OF DREYFUS TRUST COMPANY
NEW YORK, March 25 /PRNewswire/ -- The Dreyfus Corporation

(NYSE: DRY) announced today that Edward E. Madden, founder and former senior partner of Madden Associates, an institutional investment pension and benefits consulting firm, has joined Dreyfus and has been elected president of The Dreyfus Trust Company. The Dreyfus Trust Company serves as custodian or trustee of all Dreyfus-sponsored retirement plans.
Joining Madden at the Trust Company are his partners, Robert W. Stone, elected senior vice president, and David M. Feldman, elected a vice president.
"We are delighted to welcome Madden Associates to our team," said Dreyfus President & COO, Joseph S. DiMartino. "With enormous opportunities for expansion in the institutional area, both in the domestic and international marketplace, we are confident that with the combination of Ed, Bob and Dave's experience, a strong product line and heightened high quality client service, our commitment to a larger presence in the growing institutional marketplace will be met."
Prior to establishing his own firm in 1990, Madden held several executive posts, including senior managing director and co-founder of The Chemical Investment Group, Ltd.; executive vice president/marketing and director of Fidelity Management Trust Company; and senior vice president/group executive at Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A. During his tenure at Chase, he established Chase as an industry leader in both master trust and global custody. Before entering the financial marketplace, Madden, a graduate of Yale, spent 16 years with IBM in various sales, marketing and management positions.
Both Stone and Feldman served with Madden at the Chemical Investment Group and Chase Manhattan Bank. As managing director, responsible for sales and marketing at the Chemical Investment Group, Stone marketed multiple products to U.S. institutions and Feldman was vice president in charge of quantitative services.
At Chase, Stone managed the global securities/master trust area where Feldman spent the first four years of his career as a consultant to pension fund clients. Feldman went on to become an investment officer at Chase Investors Management Corp. where he managed international index funds.
Spending the first seventeen years of his career at IBM, Stone held a series of marketing, sales, management and executive positions, completing his tenure as regional manager in New York. A graduate of Villanova, Stone also has an MBA from Long Island University.
Feldman is a graduate of the University of Michigan and New York University's Stern School where he received an MBA in Finance.
