 AS EASTERN EUROPE BUSINESS CONSULTANTS
 MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Nov. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Macrovision Corp. announced today the next step in providing copyright protection technologies around the world. Alpha Development Group, a consulting service for Western companies wishing to conduct business in Eastern Europe, has been retained to help Macrovision accomplish this objective.
 Alpha Development Group is headed by R. Joseph Childs, and is located in Oradea, Romania. Childs teaches marketing at the University of Oradea, and was formerly vice president of Sales for Chaparral Communications Inc. Prior to that he was marketing director with Cayson Electronics, a manufacturer of satellite reception systems. He graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Master of Science degree in Public Relations.
 Joseph F. Swyt, president of Macrovision stated, "Alpha Development will develop contacts in Eastern Europe for Macrovison's video copyright protection technologies in the entertainment, educational and business markets." Swyt also mentioned that, "High priority applications include recordable scrambling systems for video cinemas, high security scrambling systems for microwave and cable, secure corporate video management systems for unattended distribution of video,and recordable scrambling systems to safeguard the distribution of prerecorded program material on tape, cassette, or laser disc format. We're looking forward to working with Alpha and further establishing Macrovision in the world market."
 Macrovision develops technologies for the protection of video information from unauthorized copying and unauthorized viewing. The company provides products and services for the home video, theatrical, cable, satellite and corporate communications markets. Macrovision has field offices in New York, London and Tokyo, with corporate offices in Mountain View.
