MACROMEDIA SOFTWARE BUNDLED ON PACKARD BELL'S NEW MULTIMEDIA COMPUTER SYSTEMS

 SAN FRANCISCO, April 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Macromedia(TM), the leading independent supplier of multimedia software products, is shipping a software bundle with 10 different models of Packard Bell's multimedia computer systems including the new Legend 2001 Multi-Media computer system. The Macromedia software includes Action! SE, Macromedia Star (on selected models) and ClipMedia.
 Macromedia's Action! SE is the leading instant multimedia presentation tool, complete with sound, motion, interactivity and digital video support. It allows users to incorporate slides created in other presentation programs, such as SPC's Harvard Graphics or Lotus Freelance Graphics, without having to recreate content. Macromedia Star, a limited icon version of its parent product, Authorware Professional, is a personal authoring software for interactive multimedia. This program allows end users to create interactive presentations without scripting or programming. ClipMedia provides sound, music and video clips to incorporate in any application.
 Packard Bell's Legend 2001 Multi-Media system features Intel's 486(R) i486SX(TM)25 processor and includes PBTV3, Packard Bell's Windows(R)-based add-in TV/video card. Packard Bell's Legend 2001 Multi-Media system comes complete with an internal stereo CD-ROM drive, stereo speaker system, a SoundBlaster Pro II-compatible sound card and a full bundle of software for mainstream and multimedia applications. The system provides access to the large and rapidly growing library of CD-ROM multimedia software, high-quality stereo sound and extensive sound manipulation and editing functions.
