MACROMEDIA AND DIAMOND COMPUTER TEAM UP; USERS CAN MAKE CUTTING-EDGE PRESENTATIONS THAT FLY!

SAN FRANCISCO, April 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Macromedia(R), the leading independent supplier of multimedia software products, has teamed up with Diamond Computer Systems Inc. to introduce Windows users to fast and powerful ways of creating multimedia business presentations.
Diamond Computer will be bundling Macromedia's Action! SE, an easy- to-use multimedia presentation tool that allows end users to incorporate sound, motion, interactivity and digital video with the Diamond Stealth Pro line of high-performance graphic accelerators and their fastest graphics adapter, the new Viper VLB.
"Diamond Computer continues to lead the Windows graphics accelerator board market," said John C. (Bud) Colligan, president and chief executive officer at Macromedia. "By combining Action!'s video and animation capabilities with Diamond's fast graphics accelerators and adapters, business professionals have the tools they need to create high-quality multimedia presentations."
Action! SE is the most widely bundled software product in the multimedia PC market. It offers full-featured charting capabilities in addition to importing and animating charts previously created in other presentation programs, such as SPC's Harvard Graphics for Windows, Aldus' Persuasion and Microsoft's PowerPoint. Action! also supports three digital video formats: Video for Windows, Indeo and QuickTime for Windows.
"Diamond was looking for a software application that would let our end-users take immediate advantage of the benefits the Stealth Pro and Viper products offer," said David Bates, vice president of sales at Diamond Computer Systems. "Action! SE proved to be the best multimedia presentation application to bundle with our state-of-the-art graphics and sound adapters."
Diamond Computer Systems' Stealth Pro line of Windows accelerators runs true color Windows and AutoCAD with Workstation performance. The Stealth Pro is offered for the 16-bit ISA (Industry Standard Architecture) or the 32-bit VESA local bus and comes with 1 MB of VRAM, upgradable to 2MB.
The Viper VLB VESA local bus graphics accelerator has been called the fastest Windows accelerator in the world. Based on the Weitek Power 9000 accelerated controller, the Viper is designed for the Windows or AutoCAD power user who needs maximum video performance.
