 MACKINAC ISLAND'S GRAND HOTEL PURCHASES GOLF COURSE
 MACKINAC ISLAND, Mich., May 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Mackinac Island's


Grand Hotel has just signed a purchase agreement, through its affiliate Musser Realty Company, for purchase of a partially completed golf course and restaurant here.
 R.D. Musser III, president of both companies, indicated the sale has been negotiated over recent weeks and was completed today in the form of a signed purchase agreement. This will give Grand Hotel an additional nine holes of golf (3,005 yards) near its present course and will be in use mid-way during the 1993 summer season. This will also mean the addition of a club and restaurant located at Stonecliff properties, on Mackinac Island.
 For the first time, Grand Hotel will be offer a full 18 holes of golf to guests and an additional specialty restaurant. The new course has been designed by Gerald Matthews, who redesigned the present Jewel course at the hotel location.
 Mr. Musser indicated George Staffan has been most helpful in bringing this matter to fruition with the sale of his restaurant and golf course to Grand Hotel.
 "It will be a most desirable and additional amenity for the hotel and its guests," Mr. Musser said.
 Grand Hotel is a 105-year-old family-owned hotel of 317 rooms, the world's largest summer hotel, which opened May 7 with all rooms occupied.
