MAC LASH; Leeds penalty blunder.

Gary McAllister put the knife in on the team he helped take to the League title yesterday.

And he showed Leeds how to score from the penalty spot after an amazing penalty blunder by George Graham's side.

Leeds were trailing by two goals when Richard Shaw pulled down Brian Deane in the 67th minute.

But experienced penalty takers Brian Deane, Ian Rush and Tony Dorigo were ignored as Irishman Gary Kelly took his first-ever spot kick.

Steve Ogrizovic dived to his left to push aside the shot from a man with one goal in 166 appearances. Graham said: ""It wasn't decided beforehand who would take a penalty if we got one. Why not Gary? He's a bubbly character who takes free kicks, throw-ins and corners. We needed the goal to lift us but it was not to be and we knew it was not our day.''"

Darren Huckerby and Dion Dublin put Coventry in front and McAllister rubbed it in when he showed how to take penalties.

The crowd were chanting for Tony Yeboah before he came on for his first appearance since March. But after having another go at Graham he is facing a hefty fine.
