M.A. HANNA TO DISTRIBUTE HIMONT PRODUCTS IN THE U.S.
CLEVELAND, July 21 /PRNewswire/ -- M.A. Hanna Company (NYSE/MSE: MAH), an international specialty chemicals company, today reached an agreement with Himont, Incorporated, the world's leading producer of polypropylene resins, to become a U.S. distributor of all Pro-Fax and Valtec grades. Included in the agreement is Himont's complete polypropylene portfolio of homopolymers, random and impact copolymers, and reactor- based thermoplastic polyolefins. "Himont offers advanced technologies and one of the broadest product lines," said Martin D. Walker, chairman and chief executive officer, M.A. Hanna Company. "Their resins are also particularly well designed for growth markets like medical devices, consumer products and packaging." Walker added that the value-added role of M.A. Hanna will be to work closely with Himont in targeting specific markets, applications and end users.
