US telecom and data networks engineering and maintenance specialist Global Digital Solutions Inc (PINKSHEETS:GDSI) said it had inked an accord to acquire domestic small arms maker Airtronic USA Inc.
- HONEYWELL TO PAY USD130M FOR SWISS SAIA BURGESS CONTROLS
US diversified technology and manufacturing company Honeywell International Inc (NYSE:HON) said it had sealed a deal to buy Swiss intelligent building controls provider Saia Burgess Controls Ltd from Hong Kong-based Johnson Electric for USD130m (EUR100.2m).

Denmark-based marine fuel supplier OW Bunker & Trading A/S said it would acquire Norwegian sector player Bergen Bunkers AS without disclosing the purchase price.

US AFS Technologies Inc, a software provider to consumer packaged goods (CPG) firms, has unveiled the acquisitions of domestic mobile field sales software developer Quofore International Inc and Canadian web-based trade promotion management solutions provider MEI Computer Technology Group Inc, both catering to the CPG sector.

US sports shoe and clothing group Nike Inc (NYSE:NKE) said it had struck a definitive deal to sell Manchester-based football equipment supplier Umbro Ltd for USD225m (EUR173.9m).

European engineering and project management firm RWE Technology GmbH, part of German power plant group RWE AG (ETR:RWE), has agreed to set up an energy consulting joint venture with the state-run Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), the two announced.

German utility E.ON AG (ETR:EOAN) intends sell its 34% stake in Fennovoima Oy, which aims to build its first and Finland's third nuclear power plant, the Finnish nuclear power company said.
- IBERDROLA PLANS UP TO EUR5BN ASSET SALE BY 2014 TO CUT DEBT
Spanish utility group Iberdrola SA (MCE:IBE) said it would dispose of up to EUR5bn (USD6.5bn) worth of non-strategic assets by 2014, as part of efforts to reduce debt to EUR26bn by that time, from EUR31bn it has now.

Swedish industrial trading company OEM International AB (STO:OEM-B) said that it had inked an agreement to take over domestic TemFlow Control AB, a marketer of components and systems for monitoring pressure, flow and temperature.

US local broadcaster Journal Broadcast Group Inc said it had completed a deal for the acquisition of WACY-TV station in Green Bay, Wisconsin, for a price of USD2.04m (EUR1.6m).
- GLOBAL FRANCHISE SIGNS LOI TO SHED THE ATHLETES FOOT FRANCHISE BRAND
Global Franchise Group LLC, an affiliate of home investor Levine Leichtman Capital Partners, has sealed a non-binding letter of intent (LoI) to offload its franchise retail brand The Athletes Foot to Swiss sports retailer Intersport International Corp, or IIC, the vendor said, without disclosing the price.

US specialised polymer materials provider PolyOne Corp (NYSE:POL) has agreed to acquire Spartech Corp (NYSE:SEH), a local processor of engineered thermoplastics, polymeric compounds and concentrates, in a deal worth USD393m (EUR304m), the buyer said.

US Radio One Inc (NASDAQ:ROIAK; ROIA), a radio broadcasting company targeting mainly African-American listeners, said it had signed a definitive deal to sell its Columbus, Ohio-based WJKR-FM radio station, which it considers to be a non-core asset.
- VELOCITY TECHNOLOGY BUYS FELLOW IT SPECIALIST ATHENA TECH
US IT consulting and solutions firm Velocity Technology Partners announced it had recently taken over sector player Athena Technology without revealing the financial terms of the transaction.
- ADVANTEDGE UNVEILS ACQUISITION OF MEDICAL BILLING FIRM MEDRIUM
US revenue cycle management services provider AdvantEdge Healthcare Solutions Inc (ASH) said it had bought Delaware-based medical billing and practice management firm Medrium Inc.
- FORESITE TECHNOLOGIES UNVEILS INFOTREE WEB SERVICES BUY
US IT support and web development firm ForeSite Technologies Inc said it had taken over Connecticut-based sector player Infotree Web Services LLC, without providing information on the value of the deal.
- SCHIBSTED TO BUY BACK POLARIS MEDIA STAKE FROM NTM
Norwegian media group Schibsted ASA said it would buy back the 14.4% stake in Polaris Media ASA (OSL:POL) sold to Swedish newspaper publisher Norrkopings Tidningars Media AB (NTM), raising its stake in the domestic regional media house to 29%.

US medical device specialist CR Bard Inc (NYSE:BCR) unveiled a definitive deal to take over sprayable surgical sealants and anti-adhesion products supplier Neomend Inc, in a move to boost its surgical speciality product offering.

Israel-based private equity fund Fortissimo Capital said it had wrapped up the purchase of Netherlands-based Starhome BV, a provider of roaming services and converged solutions for mobile network operators.

US energy business operator NGL Energy Partners LP (NYSE:NGL) announced it had entered into an agreement to take over crude oil purchasing and logistics firm Pecos Gathering & Marketing LLC from the Jensen family.

UK metals processing company Berkeley Mineral Resources Plc (LON:BMR) said it had set up a copper cathode joint venture with Zambian construction and property development company Phoenix Materials Limited.

Czech utility CEZ AS said it plans to separate its coal-fired Detmarovice power plant into a separate subsidiary with the view of getting it ready for a potential sale.

US managed healthcare company Amerigroup Corp (NYSE:AGP) said it got shareholder green light for its USD4.9bn (EUR3.8bn) acquisition by health benefit firm WellPoint Inc (NYSE:WLP).

US software developer Accelrys Inc (NASDAQ:ACCL) said it had bought Colorado-based sector player Aegis Analytical Corporation for USD30m (EUR23.1m) in cash in a move to expand its software solutions portfolio.

US natural gas transportation and storage assets operator Spectra Energy Partners LP (NYSE:SEP) announced it had agreed to acquire a 38.76% stake in Maritimes & Northeast Pipeline LLC (M&N US) from Spectra Energy Corp (NYSE:SE).
