US healthcare workforce solutions and staffing services provider AMN Healthcare Services Inc (NYSE:AHS) unveiled a USD5m (EUR3.6m) investment in domestic clinical telepharmacy services firm PipelineRx.
- QUINPARIO ACQUISITION CORP TO TAKE JASON PUBLIC VIA USD538.65M DEAL
US acquisition vehicle Quinpario Acquisition Corp (NASDAQ:QPAC) said it would pay USD538.65m (EUR388m) to buy Jason Incorporated, a group of businesses active in the finishing, seating, components and automotive acoustics sectors.
- CHESAPEAKE FILES WITH SEC FOR POTENTIAL OILFIELD SERVICES ARM SPIN-OFF
US natural gas producer Chesapeake Energy Corporation (NYSE:CHK), or Chesapeake, said that it had submitted a registration statement with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for the potential spin-off of fully-controlled unit Chesapeake Oilfield Operating LLC (COO).
- ERNST & YOUNG ACQUIRES BPM SPECIALISTS
US auditor Ernst & Young LLP said it had taken over domestic business process management technology services provider BPM Specialists Inc for an undisclosed sum.
- CENTURION RESOURCE GROUP SETS UP JV WITH BULLION KING MINING
US-based mining-focused private equity investor Centurion Resource Group announced the establishment of a joint venture with Bullion King Mining LLC to pursue investments in and acquisitions of precious metal mining projects, mainly in North America.

- GLORI ENERGY BUYS PETRO-HUNT OIL BUSINESS FOR USD40M
US oil technology company Glori Energy Inc said that it had finalised the purchase of domestic oil and gas producer Petro-Hunt LLC's oil business in Wood County, Texas for USD40m (EUR28.8m).
- SUN CAPITAL TO BUY ESCO'S ACLARA UNIT FOR USD150M
US private equity firm Sun Capital Partners Inc will buy utility communications firm Aclara Technologies LLC from engineered filtration products maker ESCO Technologies Inc (NYSE:ESE) for about USD150m (EUR107.8m).
- GSI GROUP CLOSES JADAK PURCHASE
US laser-based solutions provider GSI Group Inc (NASDAQ:GSIG) said it had wrapped up the takeover of Jadak Technologies Inc and Jadak LLC, together known as Jadak, a local optical data collection and machine vision technologies provider, for USD93.5m (EUR67.3m) in cash.
- ICF INTL TAKES OVER DIGITAL CONSULTANCY CITYTECH
US consultancy and technology services provider ICF International Inc (NASDAQ:ICFI) said that it had completed a deal to buy domestic digital interactive consultancy Citytech Inc.
- CARLYLE EYES OTHER MENA INVESTMENTS UPON GLC EXIT
US The Carlyle Group LP (NASDAQ:CG) aims to make further investments in the Middle Eastern, North African and Turkish markets, following the deal to divest a 30% interest in Saudi Arabia-based General Lighting Company (GLC).
- CANADA'S INTERFOR CLOSES BUY OF US FIRM TOLLESON LUMBER
Canadian lumber company International Forest Products Ltd (TSE:IFP.A), or Interfor, said it had finalised its acquisition of US peer Tolleson Lumber Co from Ilim Timber Continental SA.
- AMERICA MOVIL BOOSTS OWNERSHIP IN TELEKOM AUSTRIA
Telekom Austria AG (VIE:TKA) said the purchase of shares corresponding to a voting stake of some 3.14% in it by an indirectly fully-controlled unit of Mexico-based peer America Movil SAB de CV (NYSE:AMX) has completed.
- PANTERA CAPITAL REPORTEDLY INVESTS USD10M IN BITSTAMP
US hendge fund Pantera Capital Management LP has injected USD10m (EUR7.2m) in UK Bitcoin exchange Bitstamp Ltd.

Swedish industrial and engineering group Indutrade AB (STO:INDT) said that it had agreed to buy domestic building site preparation products supplier Svenska Geotech AB for an undisclosed sum.
- PEAK ROCK CAPITAL BUYS INTERIOR PRODUCTS UNIT OF RJF INTL
US private equity firm Peak Rock Capital said its affiliate had bought the interior products division of local maker of decorative, industrial, transit and office products RJF International Corp and formed Koroseal Interior Products LLC, a manufacturer and distributor of custom interior products.
- FRENCH BANK CDC MAY REDUCE VEOLIA SHAREHOLDING
French state-controlled lender Caisse des Depots et Consignations (CDC) may cut its non-strategic 8.85% interest in local environmental management services provider Veolia Environnement SA (EPA:VIE).
- BOURBON UNVEILS EUR24.00 P/S BID FROM JACCAR
French offshore marine services provider Bourbon SA (EPA:GBB) said it had received a takeover offer of EUR24.00 (USD33.33) a share from its principal shareholder, maritime sector investor Jaccar Holding.
- DIGIRAD BUYS CARDIAC MONITORING SERVICE TELERHYTHMICS
US provider of diagnostic imaging services and technology Digirad Corp (NASDAQ:DRAD) said it had bought local cardiac event monitoring service Telerhythmics LLC for an upfront consideration of USD3.6m (EUR2.6m).
- CYTTA PLANS MERGER WITH TELEHEALTH SOLUTIONS FIRM VITEL NET
US provider of real-time health and wellness information Cytta Corp (OTCMKTS:CYCA) said it had inked an initial merger agreement with local provider of telehealth solutions ViTel Net.
- ROSNEFT TO BUY INDIRECT STAKE IN PIRELLI
Russian oil giant Rosneft OAO (MCX:ROSN) will take an indirect stake in Italian tyre producer Pirelli & C SpA (BIT:PC) as part of an outline deal it reached with a group of Pirelli shareholders, including private equity fund Clessidra SGR SpA, Pirelli chairman Marco Tronchetti Provera's Nuove Partecipazioni SRL, UniCredit SpA (BIT:UCG) and Intesa Sanpaolo SpA (BIT:ISP), the latter said.

French property developer Nexity SA (EPA:NXI) said it had inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to purchase a 76% stake in domestic real estate company PERL SA, without giving financial details.

Swiss natural resource major Glencore Xstrata Plc's (LON:GLE) could unveil a multibillion-US dollar deal for the sale of its Las Bambas copper mine in Peru to the China Minmetals Corp-led consortium.

UK multimedia content and services firm UBC Media Group Plc (LON:UBC) said it had inked heads of terms to take over domestic digital media delivery company 7digital Ltd for an undisclosed sum.
- SCANA TO SELL UNITS OF SCANA OFFSHORE TO HITECVISION
Norwegian industrial group Scana Industrier ASA (OSL:SCI) said it had agreed to sell Scana Offshore Services Inc, Scana Offshore Technology AS and the service part of Scana Offshore Vestby AS to HitecVision fund VI for NOK135m (USD22.6m/EUR16.3m).
- TEARLAB CLOSES TAKEOVER OF OCUHUB FOR USD1.4M
US lab-on-a-chip technologies developer TearLab Corp (NASDAQ:TEAR) said it had completed its purchase of AOAExcel Inc's OcuHub business unit for some USD1.4m (EUR1m) in cash.
- THERMO FISHER SCIENTIFIC ADDS SWISS PRIONICS TO ANIMAL HEALTH DIAGNOSTICS BUSINESS
US laboratory equipment and scientific instruments group Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc (NYSE:TMO) said it had bought Zurich-based animal health diagnostics business Prionics AG, without disclosing the value of the deal.
- PHILIPS TO ACQUIRE 51% INTEREST IN SAUDI LIGHTING FIRM GLC
Dutch health and well-being group Royal Philips NV (AMS:PHIA) said it will buy a 51% stake in Saudi Arabia-based General Lighting Company (GLC) for some USD235m (EUR169m) on a cash- and debt-free basis.
- MINOAN TO BUY MARTIN SINGER TRAVEL FOR UP TO USD1.2M
UK travel and leisure company Minoan Group plc (LON:MIN) said that its travel unit Stewart Travel Limited had agreed to take over local travel agency Martin Singer Travel for up to GBP750,000 (USD1.2m/EUR898,000) in cash.

UK telecom operator Vodafone Group Plc (LON:VOD) said it had struck a deal to take over Spanish cable operator Grupo Corporativo Ono SA for EUR7.2bn (USD10bn) on a cash- and debt-free basis.
- ROADRUNNER TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS BUYS LOGISTICS FIRM UNITRANS INTL
US transportation and logistics services provider Roadrunner Transportation Systems Inc (NYSE:RRTS) said it had bought local sector company Unitrans International Corporation for USD55.5m (EUR40m).
- IBA REVEALS PHARMALOGIC PET SERVICES STAKE SALE
Belgian cancer therapy and diagnosis specialist Ion Beam Applications SA (EBR:IBAB), or IBA, unveiled the completion of a deal to sell its minority stake in Canadian pharmaceutical firm PharmaLogic PET Services of Montreal Company.
- DIXIE TO TAKE OVER ATLAS CARPET MILLS
US carpet manufacturer Dixie Group Inc (NASDAQ:DXYN) said it had agreed to buy local producer of floorcovering products Atlas Carpet Mills in an all-cash transition, without revealing the financial value of the deal.
- PROSIEBENSAT.1 TO ACQUIRE AERIA GAMES EUROPE
German broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG (ETR:PSM) said its games arm ProSiebenSat.1 Games GmbH has agreed to buy Berlin-based online and mobile games publisher Aeria Games Europe GmbH, part of US Aeria Games & Entertainment Inc.
- GETINGE PLANS NO ACQUISITIONS IN NEAR TERM
Swedish medical technical equipment company Getinge AB (STO:GETI B) will avoid acquisitions in the near term in order to focus on tackling problems at its manufacturing sites.
- DBS BANK UNVEILS USD220M DEAL FOR SOCIETE GENERALE'S PRIVATE BANKING OPERATIONS IN ASIA
Singapore-based DBS Bank Ltd, held by DBS Group Holdings Ltd (SGX:D05), said it would buy French peer Societe Generale SA's (EPA:GLE) private banking operations in Singapore and Hong Kong and some parts of its trust activities in a deal worth USD220m (EUR158.3m).
- LIBERTY GLOBAL TAKES FULL CONTROL OF VTR
UK cable company Liberty Global plc (NASDAQ: LBTYA, LBTYB, LBTYK) said it had purchased the 20% stakes not yet owned in VTR Global Com SpA and VTR Wireless SpA in a USD422m (EUR303.8m) all-stock transaction.

Canadian energy company Encana Corp (TSE:ECA) is holding discussions to offload its Jonah natural gas field in Wyoming to US buyout firms The Carlyle Group LP (NASDAQ:CG) and NGP Energy Capital Management LLC for USD2bn (EUR1.4bn).
- EC APPROVES CROWN HOLDINGS' BUY OF SPANISH MIVISA
US packaging manufacturer company Crown Holdings Inc (NYSE:CCK) said the European Commission (EC) had approved its acquisition of Spanish food-can maker Mivisa Envases SAU from funds managed by The Blackstone Group LP (NYSE:BX), N+1 Mercapital and the target's management in a EUR1.2bn (USD 1.67bn) cash deal.
- RWE SAYS TO SELL DEA BUSINESS TO LETTERONE GROUP
German utility RWE AG (ETR:RWE) said it would sell its oil and gas business RWE Dea AG to LetterOne Group for an enterprise value of some EUR5.1bn (USD7.1bn), including about EUR600m of assumed liabilities.

US retailer Sears Holdings Corp (NASDAQ:SHLD) said its board of directors had backed the spin-off of clothing retailer Lands' End Inc.
- ALLIANZ TO PAY UP TO EUR440M FOR UNIPOLSAI PROPERTY, CASUALTY OPERATIONS
German insurance major Allianz SE (ETR:ALV) has inked an agreement to buy a portion of Italian sector player UnipolSai Assicurazioni SpA's property and casualty insurance business for up to EUR440m (USD612m), the parties said.
