- CAMBIAN TAKES OVER RESIDENTIAL CARE SERVICES FIRM

British specialist care, rehabilitation and education services provider Cambian Group said it had bought Devon-based Signpost Childrena[euro](tm)s Services which delivers residential care for deaf children and young adults.

- DENBURY OFFLOADS USD75M WORTH OF UTAH ACTIVITIES

US oil and natural gas exploration company Denbury Resources Inc (NYSE:DNR) said it had agreed to sell certain non-operated assets in Utah to Resolute Energy Corp (NYSE:REN) and the Navajo Nation Oil and Gas Co for USD75m (EUR57.1m).

- DECISION INSIGHT TO TAKE 30% STAKE IN AUTOMATED BENEFITS

US Decision Insight Information Group, a portfolio firm of TPG Capital, said it had agreed to acquire 30.29% stake in Canadian Automated Benefits Corp (CVE:AUT), the parent of Symbility Solutions, in exchange for transitioning Marshall & Swift/Boeckh's (MSB) claims division to Symbility Solutions.

- US ELITE AVIATION TO FORM AIRCRAFT JV WITH STAJETS

US private jet company Elite Aviation LLC said it will extend its aircraft fleet and secure a second base of operations through a joint venture with Orange County, California-based sector firm STAjets Inc.

- SUMOTEXT CORP BUYS PHOENIX MEDIA'S G8WAVE

US short code application provider Sumotext Corporation said it had taken over g8wave Mobile, the mobile marketing unit of media company The Phoenix Media/Communications Group for an unrevealed price.

- L-3 TO BUY THALES' CIVIL AIRCRAFT SIMULATION & TRAINING UNIT FOR GBP83M

US L-3 Communications (NYSE:LLL) said it had agreed to purchase the civil aircraft simulation and training business of Thales Training & Simulation Ltd for GBP83m (USD131.9m/EUR100.6m).

- UNIBET GROUP SEALS DEAL TO ACQUIRE NORDIC BETTING

Malta-based online gaming company Unibet Group plc said it had inked an accord to take over sector player Nordic Betting Ltd, which is active in Nordic markets and is also domiciled in Malta.

- NATIONAL FINANCIAL PARTNERS TAKES FULL CONTROL OF NEMCO GROUP

US benefits, insurance and wealth management services firm National Financial Partners Corp (NYSE:NFP), which owned a minority stake in Nemco Group LLC, said it had bought the rest of the group benefits firm and thus had taken full control of it.

- CITRIX BUYS ONLINE WORK PLATFORM PODIO

US IT solutions company Citrix Systems Inc (NASDAQ:CTXS) said it had finalised the takeover of collaborative work platform provider Podio ApS for an undisclosed amount.

US clinical-stage nanomedicine firm Arrowhead Research Corp (NASDAQ:ARWR) said it had bought sector player Alvos Therapeutics Inc in an all-stock transaction, whose exact value was not given.

- REITEN & COa[euro](tm)S QUESTBACK FINALISES INTEGRATION OF GLOBALPARK

Norwegian enterprise feedback management (EFM) and online survey solutions provider QuestBack AS, backed by private equity firm Reiten & Co, announced it had completed the integration of German-based online feedback software firm Globalpark, which converted it into a top provider of social CRM, market research and customer experience management solutions.

- SWISS SGS UNVEILS PURCHASE OF METLAB IN S AFRICA

Swiss goods and services inspection specialist SGS SA (VTX:SGSN) announced it had taken over South African metallurgical testing laboratory Metlab (Pty) Ltd, without disclosing how much it paid for the company.

- WEINGARTEN TO SHED INDUSTRIAL PORTFOLIO TO DRA

US property investment trust (REIT) Weingarten Realty Investors (NYSE:WRI) unveiled a USD382.4m (EUR292m) deal to dispose of its industrial portfolio to New York-based investor and advisor DRA Advisors LLC, in an effort to reduce debt.

- SIBUR TAKES FULL OWNERSHIP OF BIAXPLEN

Russia's petrochemical company Sibur Holding said it had gained full ownership of Biaxplen LLC, a local producer of biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) film, after acquiring the 50% stake it did not already own.

- PHILIPS, OPTOGAN TO PAIR UP IN RUSSIAN LED ROAD LIGHTING JV

Dutch consumer electronics and household appliances maker Royal Philips Electronics (AMS:PHIA) will set up a joint venture with Russian LED products specialist Optogan to manufacture LED road lighting products in Russia, the two companies said.

- HENRY SCHEIN STRIKES FINAL DEAL TO ACQUIRE AUV'S VETERINARY DISTRIBUTION UNIT

US healthcare products provider Henry Schein Inc (NASDAQ: HSIC) said it had sealed a final accord to take over AUV Veterinary Services BV, the veterinary distribution unit of Dutch veterinary co-operative AUV Group.

- VITEC GROUP BUYS REMOTE CAMERA SYSTEMS MAKER CAMERA CORPS

British photography and broadcasting equipment specialist Vitec Group plc (LON:VTC) said it had taken over domestic Camera Corps Limited, a provider of speciality remote camera systems, tracking, support systems and facilities to broadcasters, in a GBP8m (USD13m/EUR10m) deal.

- TAKEDA AGREES TO BUY URL PHARMA IN US

Takeda America Holdings Inc, a unit of Japana[euro](tm)s Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd (TYO:4502), will take over US URL Pharma Inc, the maker of the Colcrys drug used to treat and prevent gout flares, the parties said.

- ITOCHU TO PAY EUR472M FOR 24.9% OF METSA FIBRE

Japanese trading house Itochu Corp (TYO:8001) said it had entered into an agreement to buy a 24.9% stake in Finnish softwood pulp maker Metsa Fibre Oy from forest sector firm Metsa Group for EUR472m (USD620.1m).

- TRELLEBORG TO SHED PROTECTIVE PRODUCTS BUSINESS TO ANSELL

Swedish industrial company Trelleborg AB (STO:TRELB) said it had sealed a deal to sell a protective products business to Ansell Ltd (ASX:ANN) for SEK210m (USD31m/EUR24m).

- MAXIM BARSKIY TO TAKE 29.8% OF MATRA PETROLEUM

Russian businessman Maxim Barskiy, former deputy CEO of TNK-BP (RTB:TNBP), has agreed to invest GBP4.6m (USD7.3m/EUR5.6m) in UK-based oil and gas explorer Matra Petroleum plc (LON:MTA) in exchange for a 29.8% stake in the company.

- ARCADIS BOOSTS ASIAN BUSINESS WITH DLS BUY

Dutch consultancy, design, engineering and management services group Arcadis NV (AMS:ARCAD) announced the acquisition of Singapore-based cost and project management consultancy Davis Langdon & Seah (DLS), in a move to expand in Asia.

Sweden-based lock manufacturer Assa Abloy (FRA:ALZB) said it had purchased British intelligent key cabinets and asset management solutions specialist Traka Plc.

- CVC UNVEILS USD644M DEAL TO BUY CITY TELECOM'S HKBN, IDD ARM

British private equity firm CVC Capital Partners Ltd said it would buy City Telecoma[euro](tm)s (HKG:1137) Hong Kong Broadband Network Ltd (HKBN) and the IDD business in a deal worth some HKD5bn (USD644m/EUR491.5m).

- EFI TAKES OVER BRAZILIAN MIS SYSTEMS MAKER METRICS

US digital printing innovation specialist Electronics For Imaging Inc (NASDAQ:EFII), or EFI, announced it had bought Brazilian management information systems (MIS) developer Metrics Sistemas de Informacao.

Germany-based software developer SAP AG (ETR:SAP) said it intends to take over US enterprise mobile applications and technologies developer Syclo for an undisclosed sum.

US laboratory network Evans Analytical Group Inc (EAG) said it had acquired contract research laboratory service providers PTRL West Inc and PTRL Europe GmbH, based in Hercules, California, USA and Ulm, Germany, respectively.

- BOUYGUES BATIMENT INTL TO EXPAND IN UK WITH BUY OF THOMAS VALE GROUP

Bouygues Batiment International, a unit of French Bouygues Construction, said it was buying British privately-held builder Thomas Vale Group Ltd, in line with plans to expand in the UK sector market.

- SWEDISH NOLATO BUYS UK PHARMACEUTICAL PACKAGING MAKER

Swedish polymer product systems developer Nolato AB (STO:NOLAB) said it had taken over British pharmaceutical packaging maker Cope Allman Jaycare Ltd from its current management for an initial sum of SEK179m (USD26.4m/EUR20.1m).
