Business Editors/Legal Writers

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 29, 2003

Lynn Tillotson & Pinker, L.L.P., today announced that the Council of the American Law Institute (ALI) recently elected Senior Partner Michael P. Lynn to the organization's membership.

"I want to thank The ALI Council for electing me to this organization's membership," said Lynn. "I look forward to serving the Institute to help clarify and simplify the law."

The ALI Council, a group of some 65 prominent judges, practicing lawyers and legal scholars from every region of the country, governs the Institute and elects candidates into membership recommended by the ALI Committee on Membership.

The ALI Committee on Membership recommended Lynn for membership based upon the fact that Lynn has been recognized by the profession as having a record of outstanding achievement in his chosen area of the law and that Lynn's position as senior partner involves the practice, study and administration of the law.

Lynn, who founded Lynn Tillotson & Pinker, L.L.P., has tried to verdict more than 70 civil and criminal jury trials, as well as more than 100 non-jury and injunction matters. This includes the 2002 defense win in the ZixIt Corp. vs. Visa USA Inc. and Visa International Service Association Inc., that lead to being named among the "Top 20 Defense Wins of the Year" for 2002 by The National Law Journal. This was the second time the firm had received this recognition, a distinction that few firms anywhere claim.

Lynn's practice areas of expertise include complex commercial litigation, business torts, trade secrets, financial fraud, lender liability law and bad faith litigation. In 2000, he recovered what is believed to be the largest settlement in Dallas/Fort Worth history in a trade secret case.
