Lycos Europe in joint venture with EDGE Media Network.
Lycos Europe and EDGE Media Network are to work together to bring EDGE's Chameleon 24:7 service onto the Lycos Entertainment Channel on 20 October.
Users who register at Chameleon 24:7@Lycos will be able to access the pay-to-play gaming software which allows users to buy or rent games. For a fee of GBP12 members will get the Chameleon 24:7 DVD with six to eight software titles and three electronic rental vouchers. More vouchers can be bought from the Chameleon 24:7 secure online store. Any games chosen are saved to the computer's hard drive and accessed using a unique electronic key code.
Lycos will receive a share of the revenues generated from the sale and rental of games and will also have access to the details of users who register on the site.
