Lutes gig to rave about.

A NIGHTCLUB that is renowned for putting on chart-topping bands like the Libertines is set to host its weirdest gig to date.

Circulus, described as "a seven-piece, period costume acid folk trip back to 1972", will appear at The Colosseum, in Primrose Hill Street, Hillfields, Coventry, on Sunday, November 6.

The band of medieval-style lute players have been raved about in the NME and national press and Colosseum entertainments manager Rich Elms believes it's a show not to be missed.

He said: "This lot really are worth having a look at, bearing in mind that seven-piece lute-playing and tight-wearing medieval prog folk bands don't happen round these parts that often. Particularly in Hillfields."

For tickets, priced pounds 6, phone 0115 9129000.
