Luo's Scot tough plan.

Byline: John Traynor

FORMER Chinese badminton star Yvette Yun Luo has warned her new charges in Scotland she will rule with an iron fist.

Luo takes over as head coach of Badminton Scotland in January and has vowed to transform our players into stars as long as they are ready to work hard.

She said: "I'll demand discipline in training, diet and general fitness. Basically I'm going to push the players as hard as necessary.

"Already I'm looking as far ahead as the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in 2014 and I'll make sure any player with potential will be ready.

"My philosophy is badminton is not just a recreational game, it's a highly demanding sport."
