Lufthansa's Miles & More programme to add Germanwings as new airline partner.

German airline Lufthansa announced on Monday that Germanwings will become a new airline partner of Lufthansa's frequent flyer programme Miles & More on 1 December 2009.

When Germanwings becomes a Miles & More partner, participants in the scheme will be able to exchange award miles for award flights with Germanwings, which operates flights to 70 European destinations.

Miles & More members will be able to purchase Germanwings domestic German flights for 25,000 award miles. For 30,000 miles they can fly to other European destinations. Fly Smart awards are available for 15,000 miles.

Award flights can only be booked on the Miles & More website at http://www.miles-and-more.com.
