Lucas Group Reports Increasing Demand for Senior Military Officers.

ATLANTA -- Lucas Group, an executive search firm that places former military members into corporate America, reports corporate businesses have increased hiring demand for mid-to-senior level military officers (SMO) in the past year.

"Interest in our Senior Military Officer transition program has intensified," said Bryan Zawikowski, vice president and general manager of Lucas Group's Military Transition division. "We have grown our SMO recruiting team by more than 50 percent in the past seven months to accommodate the 63 percent increase in hiring activity in this market segment."

SMOs in the military range from field grade to flag officers, which are mid and senior level executives for the military services. They are charged with developing and implementing strategic and tactical plans, where the consequences of failure are serious. As leaders and battle-tested officers, they have proven leadership skills in high-stress environments.

"What's interesting about the increase in activity is that the demand we see is across different industries, including construction, defense, technology and logistics," said Zawikowski. "The companies are also seeking to fill a variety of positions. Some titles fall into mid-level and senior management, business development, program management and logistics management. No matter the industry or company, SMOs' accomplished skills and experiences position them well for today's fast-paced and ever-changing business world."
