Baby's name: Luca-Gabriel James Smith Date and place of birth: March 18 at 5.03am at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff Weight: 7lb 3oz Parents: Mum Shantelle Smith, 18, who works as a beautician and dad Leigh Harvey, also 18, from Fairwater Mum's story: One of the things the midwife noticed when I had a scan during pregnancy was that Luca-Gabriel had quite big lips. She said he had the biggest lips she had ever seen in a scan.

We decided to find out if we were having a boy or a girl so that it would be easier to prepare.

When we knew it was a boy we started thinking of names. I liked two names - Luca and Gabriel.

It was impossible to decide between them so in the end he had a hyphenated name with both, so he became Luca-Gabriel.

His middle name is James and I decided to give him that name because that was my grandad's name and Luca-Gabriel was born on the same date as my grandad passed away.

He was my mum's dad and although I never met him, I thought it would be nice to name him after his greatgrandad because of the day he was born.

Luca-Gabriel is a very happy and content little boy.

He's always laughing and giggling and he's very aware of what's going on around him.

The pregnancy went very smoothly and I decided I didn't want pain relief during the birth.

I just had gas and air and the labour went very well.

I think he looks like me but everybody says he looks like his dad. He does have the same main features as his dad and his ears are exactly the same.

He's the first grandchild on both sides so he's being spoilt at the moment.

Luca-Gabriel loves having his blanket with him and he can't sleep without it.

He's so happy and is so much fun to be around.
