Lubricants and processing aids.


Vegetable and petroleum waxes, calcium and zinc stearates, and silicone fluids.


Specialty lubricant concentrates for most thermoplastics reportedly improve wear resistance and mold release, reduce warpage and rejects, lower material and energy costs, make finishing easier, and reduce tool wear. Available in cubes, pellets or as powders, alone or in multifunctional concentrates with other additives and/or colors.


Mold Wiz internal lubricants and processing aids are complex polymeric blends containing no wax, silicone, or metallic stearate. Nonexuding additives are mixed into thermoplastics, thermosets, and rubbers at levels of 0.1-1% by weight.

Products compounded into thermoplastic resin or dry blended by end user. Synergistic effects reduce melt temperatures and increase melt flow index for faster cycle times at lower temperatures. Improved resin flow allows easy fill of deep draw cavities, with smooth release of thin-walled parts. No warpage when releasing parts from cores or threaded molds. Better wetting of reinforcements and aided elimination of buildup, flow marks and weakness in the weld line. Molds remain clean; no solvent vapors are released. Molded parts ready for painting, bonding, printing or plating without degreasing. Many products FDA approved.


High-purity metallic stearates as internal/ external lubricants include:

* Hy Dense calcium stearate HP granular and RSN powder for rigid PVC pipe and siding lubrication and other multiple applications requiring a lubricant with reduced dusting, easy handling, and consistent quality.

* Magnesium stearate RSN 1-1 for lubricating ABS resins.

* Zinc stearate RSN 131 HS for superior clarity/color stability in crystal PS.

* Hy Dense zinc stearate XM powder for low viscosity and good mold release in polyester SMC and BMC.

* Hy Dense zinc ultrafine as a dispersion and for color concentrates.

* Kosher Hy Dense calcium stearate for multiple applications including food packaging.

* Kosher Hy Dense zinc stearate for polymer systems requiring superior lubrication, low dusting, easy handling, and consistent quality.


Range of glycerol esters for lubrication of PVC and as antifogs, antistats and antiblocks in polyolefins.

Distilled mono glycerides in various physical forms include Pationic 900 and 901 fine beads, Pationic 909 very fine beads, and Pationic 907 semi-solids.

Mono/diglycerides include Pationic 1042 and 1052 fine flakes, Pationic 1501 and 1083 liquids, and Pationic 1064 and 1074 semi-solids.

Glycerol tristearates include Pationic 1019 fine flakes and Pationic 919 very fine beads.


Complete line of specialty lubricants for OEM and private label use. Products include Anti-Seize compounds, Moly lubricants, Metal Tap 5 food-grade specialty lubricants, dry film lubricants, and light- and heavy-duty lubricants for high-temperature applications.


Lubricants include water-based and CFC-free external release agents for flexible and rigid PUR, reinforced polyester, rotomolding, thermoset and thermoplastic molding. Perma-Mold releases specifically for rigid urethane foam. Mono-Coat semi-permanent formulations can double mold productivity, while giving multiple releases. Product does not build up on mold or transfer to part. Company also provides custom formulating.


Supplies a dozen varieties of Marklube lubricants for rigid and flexible PVC. Different grades provide internal and/or external lubricating action and/or metal release. Product types include Hydrobrite oils for PVC, glycerol fatty ester, and bis(stearoyl)ethylene diamine.

Also supplies metallic stearates for polyolefins.


Dry powder or compounding of lubricant/ processing aid masterbatches from pound to truckload quantities in all resin systems and additives combined with colorants to provide multifunctional concentrates.


Cesa-slip lubricant masterbatches improve flow characteristics of plastics during processing and also reduce frictional resistance of end-product surfaces while enhancing both appearance and function. Custom master-batches also available along with master-batches that combine active ingredients with selected pigments and dyestuffs.


Complete line of waxes includes Montan, PE, PP and micronized waxes, and ethylene bisstearamide. Benefits include pigment dispersion, lubrication, mold release, compatabilization and nucleation. Products used in polyolefins, PVC, rubber and engineering resins.


Crodamide lubricants impart slip, antiblock, and mold release to polyolefins, PS, PVC, nylon, ABS and specialty engineering resins.

Crodamides are fatty acid amides, which include primary amides (erucamide, oleamide, behenamide and stearamide) and secondary amides (stearyl erucamide and oleyl palmitamide). Secondary amide line has superior thermal stability for use where process temperatures do not allow conventional lubricants. Also Crodamide lubricant additives for thermoplastic elastomers and various engineering resins, alloys and blends. Products also serve as organic antiblock agents without affecting film clarity.


Zinc and calcium stearates for use as lubricants and pigment dispersants in color concentrates and dry colors. Also clear-melting zinc stearate for use in crystal PS.

Ultrafine PTFE lubricant powder for use as a self-lubricating additive.


Lubricant products include tool lubricants, general machine lubricants, way oils, aerosol lubricants, and industrial strength greases.


Silicone fluid, silane and modified polymersproducts include antifoams, coupling agents, internal and external lubricants, process modifiers, and surfactants.

Silicone fluids can be compounded into thermoplastics to reduce friction/wear and increase load-speed capabilities. Function as an internal lubricant to lower melt viscosity. Benefits often include reduced cycle times, less warpage, fewer rejects, and improved surface appearance and gloss. Reportedly excellent internal mold-release agents that often eliminate need for external releases.

Antifoams used in shredding and recycling operations, and during polymerization. Powered materials help eliminate voids in plastic injection molding.

Coupling agents may be amino-functional, methacrylate, styrylamine cationic, epoxy, or chloralkyl functional. They are used to couple fibers to resins in reinforced plastics and as a surface pretreatment of fillers and reinforcers.

Process modifiers include fluids to encapsulate or coat dry particles for improved flow, hydrophobicity and anticaking properties. Silane chemicals can be used during polymerization to modify catalyst activity and polymer tacticity.

Surfactants produce foams with improved water resistance and allow foam fusing at low temperatures. Low odor compared to alkali metal soap surfactants.


Advawax specialty wax, slip and antiblocking agents are designed for use in ABS, vinyl, PS and other polymers. Bisamide wax Advawax 280 is FDA-compliant for food and packaging. Advalube specialty lubricants designed for challenging processing in vinyl, PC and polyolefins. Advapak lubricating stabilizers offer superior processing for pipe extrusion, siding and profile extrusions and molded fittings.

Paraloid K 100 series acrylic processing aids produce rapid fusion, homogeneous melt, increased melt strength, and easy thermoformability in rigid vinyls. Applications include those requiring weatherability for long-term outdoor exposure such as building products and nonweatherable clear and opaque uses such as containers, film, and sheet.

Series includes Paraloid K-120ND for superior clarity and dispersibility, Paraloid K-125 for high efficiency, and Paraloid K-175 for lubricating to reduce sticking and plate-out. Paraloid K-445 is a specialty processing aid, which allows substantial density reduction and superior surface for foamed vinyl. Paraloid SureCel is a high performance Foam Cell Stabilizer for free foam applications where the ability to manufacture very thick PVC sheet parts at low density are attractive attributes.


Viton FreeFlow fluoroelastomer processing aids increase throughput in polyolefin manufacturing and reduce melt fracture.


Offers a family of specialty processing additives, which include Dyneon PTFE Micropowders and Dynamar Polymer Processing Additives (PPAs).DyneonPTFEMicropowders are white, fine-particle powders of low-molecular-weight ploytratrefluoroethylene (PTFE). Micropowders are used as additives in a variety of applications including plastics, printing inks, lubricants and coatings to improve the nonstick and antifriction properties of the matrix materials. Dynamar PPAs are used in extruding polyolefin resins such as LLDPE and HDPE, Dynamar multipurpose extrusion aids reduce die build-up, eliminate surface defects such as melt fracture or shark skin, and may even allow an increase in output.


Epolene low-molecular-weight polyolefins as extrusion lubricants for rigid PVC. Also useful as processing and mold-release lubricants for ABS, polyesters, PC, nylons, polybutylenes and PE.


Loxiol ester wax additives include internal and external lubricants:

* Glycerol esters for co-stabilizing effect and flow. Useful in clear PVC and FDA-approved applications.

* Simple esters such as Loxiol G-32, G40 and G60 for thermal stability, low water sensitivity, and replacement of amide waxes.

* Partial esters of polyfunctiona1 alcohols such as Loxiol P728 for balancing properties of ester internal lubricants.

* Polymeric polyfunctional alcohol fatty acid compounds for metal release, and as economical replacements for montan esters.

* Ester-based co-stabilizing lubricants for improvement in thermostability of PVC formulations, reducing stabilizer levels. Recommended for opaque, rigid PVC fittings, profiles, siding, sheet, and foamed PVC.

Most have FDA approval for use with food and impart good clarity to transparent articles such as vacuum formable blister-pack sheet and bottles. Applications in PVC, rigid frames and PC, phenolics, acrylics and nylons. Advantages include good printability, water-blush resistance, reduction of die swell, prevention of sinks in injection molding, superior melt flow, lower plateout, and improved compatibility.

Paraffin-free co-stabilizing esters for rigid PVC extrusion, high output, low plateout and optimal process window.


SpectraSyn liquid polymer modifiers improve polyolefins by lowering their melt viscosity, which enables faster cycles and line speeds and also aids filler dispersions. These modifiers also enhance flexibility, toughness, and elasticity of polyethylenes, polypropylenes, TPOs, TPVs, ethylene plastomers, and specialty olefinic TPEs. They also have some compatibility with styrenic TPEs such as those based on SEBS. SpectraSyn polymer modifiers are highly compatible with polyolefins and have minimal effect on heat resistance.



Synpro metallic stearates offer a broad range of lubrication solutions:

* For flexible and rigid PVC, Synpro calcium stearate 15F and Synpro calcium stearate 12B. Calcium stearate lubricants come in easily dispersed, low-dusting, granular and powder free-flowing forms.

* For PE and PP, Synpro calcium stearates 114-36 and cost-effective Synpro 500 and 600 grades. Synpro zinc stearate 8 also available.

* For ABS, Synpro magnesium stearate 90 and magnesium stearate Type NF.

* For high-impact and expandable PS, Synpro zinc stearate ACF, GP, 8 and 44HS.

* For crystal PS and melamine, Synpro zinc stearate 8 and 44HS.

* For polyester, Synpro zinc stearates FRP, D and DLG10A.

* For phenolics, Synpro calcium stearate 12B and Synpro zinc stearate.

Petrac waxes are used as external lubricants for rigid PVC and as release agents for molded PVC. In combination with stearates, Petrac waxes provide internal and external lubrication. Products include Petrac 215 oxidized PE wax and Petrac 165 parafin wax for vinyl extrusion. Also Petrac fatty acids used as emulsifiers in polymerization processes and as plasticizers and lubricants in rubber compounding.

SXT lubricant systems suitable for wood/plastic composite extrusion applications.

Several additives can be incorporated in Spectraflo liquid dispersions, primarily internal mold releases. Silicone and nonsilicone products offered for polyolefins, styrenics and nylon parts. Calcium, aluminum and zinc stearates available as internal lubricants for nylon.

A liquid purge compound runs in a wide variety of resins including nylon, PC, ABS, PE, PP, HIPS, and GPPS. FDA approved. LDR is 8-10% and can run at any temperature range and cycled through hot-runner mold. Vehicle system stable from 350 F to 700 F.


Kane Ace acrylic processing aids for use in PVC. Varying molecular weight from ultra-low to ultra-high. Products include PA-10, PA-20, PA-30, PA-40, PA-50, PA-100 and PA-101. PA-100 and PA-101 minimize sticking to metal surfaces.


Titanate coupling agents said to be highly effective lubricants at use levels below 2% of filler content. In filled systems they reportedly cut need for processing lubricants by 75-90%. Titanate and zirconate coupling agents also increase flow of unfilled polymers.

Kenplast ESB cumyl phenol benzoate, a solid processing aid, said to improve molding and extrusion characteristics and enhance physical properties of finished product. Used in PVC extrusion, RIM urethanes, and nylon processing.


Fatty-based, internal and external lubricants mostly used at low levels (around 0.5-2 phr). Many approved for food-contact applications.

Bisamide waxes include Acrawax C, Glycolubes, and Glyconol for extruding and molding PVC, ABS, PUR, nylons, and other engineering thermoplastics. Glycolube line has applications as internal/external lubricants, mold releases, antifogs and antistats for many polymers.

Proprietary products such as Glycolube P and TS suggested for engineering resins and polymer alloys. Glycolube PG and Vinylubes used in PVC bottles, sheets, and profiles when clarity and throughput are critical.



Lubricants for all types of applications include dry film coatings, oils, greases, pastes and anti-seize products.


NanoCeramicMoldGrease contains sub-microscopic ceramic particles, that have an affinity to steel, suspended in an over based calcium sulfonate thickener within a midviscosity petroleum based paste. The result is a super low coefficient of friction lubricant with unsurpassed resilience and superior adhesion.

NanoCeramicMoldGrease lasts 10 times longer than conventional greases. Extreme shear stability prevents softening and run out during use. Operating temperature range: -40[degrees]F to 800[degrees]F.

The ceramic particles can temporarily lubricate to 2,500[degrees]F.

Sulfonate chemistry is a known corrosion and rust inhibitor. High load bearing properties. NSF Food Grade Approved.

Viscosity is maintained across a wide temperature range. Low dielectric constant. Does not contain PTFE or silicon.

Applications: slides, angle pins, leader pins and bushings, return pins, lifter rods, guided ejection systems, locks, molding machinery, robotic automation, auxiliary equipment.


PAC-0154 is an economical, high-efficiency processing-aid concentrate said to offer a superior combination of properties and lower usage levels than earlier concentrates. At low addition levels, it is said to eliminate melt fracture, die buildup and gel formation.

FSC-0500V is a fast-blooming oleamide slip concentrate derived from 100% vegetable sources. It is designed for use in PE food-packaging films complying with dietary restrictions. It is said to be more cost-effective than erucamide-based slip concentrates.


Custom lubricant and processing-aid concentrates contain as much as 60% additive. Specialty additive concentrates in pellet form include:

* CR5 recommended for PP to reduce viscosity, increase melt-flow rates, and reduced process temperatures and cycle times during molding at use levels of 0.25-1.0%.

* PA3-FP2 active fluoroelastomer concentrate specifically for use in LLDPE film applications.

* CR20P pelletized peroxide concentrate (20% active peroxide) specifically for use in reprocessing PP and filled PP compounds for decreasing viscosity and increasing melt-flow rate.

* RM40 and RM70 molybdenum disulfide concentrates for lubricating nylon gears and bushings.


Produces Tramaco peroxide additive concentrates for enhanced PP flow modification. Available as pellets, they allow for safe and accurate application.



Full range of external and internal release agents and processing aids for thermosets and thermoplastics.

KantStik semi-permanent release system for advanced composites and reinforced plastics provides an assured system for most applications. Line includes KantStik Mold Cleaner, KantStik Sealer, KantStik SPC, and KantStik 94X for multiple releases with no transfer.

KantStik Cure Fast is a one-step, fastcuring, semi-permanent sealer and release agent allowing multiple molding cycles and can withstand high molding temperatures of 700 F.

Evergreen products developed to meet environmental safety standards include water-based release agents KantStik LM Concentrate and KantStik M-56.

KantStik Q powder and KantStik S powder internal lubricants for thermoplastics are said to increase resin flow into deeper recesses and sections of mold cavities and lower and reduce shark skin.

Resin Release N is an outstanding aid for polyurethane resin release. It is available in paste form and can be thinned to a sprayable form.

Styrid styrene suppressant additive for polyester resins meets government standards for styrene emission control. It is economical and easy to use and does not interfere with interlaminar bonding or gel time.


Line of specialty additives designed for superior blending and dispersion as well as lubrication and processing enhancement properties. Products, especially efficient where highly filled plastics arc compounded, include:

* USP grade zinc stearate available in dustfree, environmentally friendly prill or pellet form is a versatile dispersion and processing aid that meets all USP guidelines for use in pharmaceutical products.

* Clear-melt zinc stearate, available in dustfree, environmentally friendly prill or pellet form is recommended for general-purpose PS where clarity is needed.

* TR016 anionic surfactant for use in mineral-filled polyolefins is an effective process and dispersion aid for wood fiber/fluor-filled polyolefins.

* TR041 FDA-sanctioned nonionic wetting agent aids in the incorporation and dispersion of polar fillers and pigments. Specifically effective for highly loaded flame-retardant compounds.

TR251/TR255 anionic/nonionic surfactants now available as FDA-sanctioned products. Targeted where EBS is being used, products show improved dispersion and processability in ABS, rigid PVC, color concentrates and highly filled applications.

TR044 heat-stabilized processing aid provides improved flow and release in many polymers, and especially for polar or filled engineering resins currently using PETs. Effective in improving processability and physical properties of recycled PET.

* TR060/TR065 resinous additives used as blending and dispersion aids. TR060 used in lower temperature polymers improves end properties of recyclate-containing compounds while also improving dispersion and reducing splay in colored and filled olefins. TR065 is targeted at higher temperature polymers and has superior blending properties and incorporation of impact modifiers. Effective in PC/ ABS alloys.

* V-Series lubricant packages for rigid PVC specifically designed to improve processing, reduce plateout, and lower overall compound costs through blending multifunction lubricants.

Precipitated and modified fusion-process metallic stearates include aluminum octoate and stearate, barium, calcium, lithium, magnesium, sodium, and zinc stearate (including clear-melt, polymer, and granular types).



Lubricants and processing aids including slip, antiblock and internal mold-release additive concentrates in various thermoplastic resin carriers. Formulations can combine custom color with processing aids.


Silicone fluids and emulsions in several viscosities recommended as internal lubricant additives for thermoplastics. Dimethylpolysiloxane fluids with viscosities of 12,500 and 30,000 cst reportedly most effective when added to most thermoplastics, including nylons and styrenics. Reported benefits include lower coefficients of friction, improved wear resistance, easier demolding, and in many cases, lower melt viscosity, which can speed injection rate and reduce cycle time.

Special functional silicone fluids and emulsions reportedly give unique lubricity and multiple release effects, or allow easier paintability.
