Luas cross city heritage works.

Tenders are invited for Luas cross city heritage works

RPA is seeking a specialist heritage contractor, prior to the commencement of the main works for luas cross city project to remove, store and reinstate heritage items. This will ensure that items of historic and architectural heritage importance are adequately protected for the duration of these works and safeguarded for the future. A range of heritage items including statues and street furniture in dublin city centre will be removed, stored and fully reinstated; to allow the installation of tracks and associated infrastructure for the luas cross city scheme. The works to remove the heritage items are scheduled to begin in early 2014. All heritage items will be stored in a facility provided by the heritage contractor in anticipation of their full and final reinstatement on completion of the luas cross city scheme.
