Love the testing.

Hi, gentlemen. I read your broad-head test article (September 2013) with great interest. I have focused on arrow penetration since I hit a whitetail buck in the shoulder blade with a 450-grain arrow and a 3-blade Montec at 20 yards. I was using a 70-pound Hoyt Maxxis and it didn't penetrate the scapula.

I have subsequently switched to a 2-blade fixed broadhead that is sharp enough to shave with and shoot a 645-grain arrow. Last year, it blew through a 220-pound pig. It performed wonderfully! I would have loved to see how a 2-blade [head] would have done in your test. Also, cull ewes are a dime a dozen. It would be interesting to see how all the heads perform on real tissue (euthanized and skinned first, of course). Keep up the good work. Thanks!
