Lotus 1-2-3 for the home.

How often do clients ask a CPA to "work up some numbers"? It could be a calculation to see if a mortgage refinancing is worthwhile or if an investment program will provide enough money for college tuition. Instead of doing the calculations, usually gratis, consider recommending the client use Lotus's new spreadsheet for the home, 1-2-3 for Home.

The program is easy to learn and comes with specialized templates for mortgage analyses, tax planning and scores of other common financial calculations. The product comes with one month of toll-free telephone support, available seven days a week, 24 hours a day--so, instead of calling the CPA, the client can call Lotus if questions arise. Lotus 1-2-3 for Home retails for $149.
