Losing Shane is final nail in the coffin; Letters.

I AGREE with C Evans (CT letters 15/01/16) with regard to the new breakfast show on CWR. Shane O'Connor presented a topical and entertaining show with local current affairs. He was particularly skilled at interviewing and challenging politicians and representatives of service providers about issues important to listeners in the community.

I miss his humour and professionalism. The current programme is padded out with a Guess the Personality quiz which showcases 'cute'. Children would perhaps be best suited to family listening at weekends or another time later in the day. The loss of Annie Othen's regular morning programme was also a bitter blow and losing Shane is the final nail in the coffin.
