Los Angeles Newspaper Group Names Leaders of Inland Division.
Fred Hamilton and Fred Board are the new leaders of the Los Angeles Newspaper Group's Inland Division. They will lead six daily newspapers, their Web sites, and specialty publications.
The Inland Division is a combination of the former Inland Empire and the San Gabriel Valley Newspaper Group. Between them, the new Inland Division will run the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin, The Sun and the Redlands Daily Facts, the San Gabriel Valley Tribune, Pasadena Star-News, and the Whittier Daily News, plus their Web sites.
Hamilton formerly served as publisher and chief executive officer of the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin. Under his leadership, the Daily Bulletin launched the high-end glossy magazine Inland Living, Mi Tiempo, a Spanish-language entertainment weekly, and several specialty Web sites. He will lead the Inland Division from San Bernardino, Calif.
Board most recently was president and general manager of the Daily Bulletin, a role he has held since 2007. He will replace former publisher Larry Kline at the San Gabriel office in West Corvina, Calif.
