Lord Mayor invited to city church; BOURNVILLE.
A BIRMINGHAM church is holding an event to "make a noise" about its role in the community. The Pavilion Christian Community has been based at Rowheath Pavilion, in Heath Road, Bournville, for 17 years and has helped restore it to its former glory.
It works with youngsters at Kings Norton Boys' and Girls' schools and old people's homes as well as running the building which is used by community groups.
Pastor Paul Clarke said: "People don't really realise what's going on here so this is about making a bigger noise.
"We believe very much in being a church without walls."
The Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Coun Mike Sharpe, has been invited to take part in the celebrations on November 5 at 10.10am.
