Lord Aeryn still open to some improvement.
David Nicholls, trainer of Snow Bay and Mujaadel "Caution over stable form is needed while Snow Bay has gone up 14lb and is struggling against the handicapper."
Tim Easterby, trainer of Mirrored, Clockmaker and Amethyst Dawn "I'm not sure about the trip for Mirrored but he seems in good form and I would have run him in the Bunbury Cup but he didn't get in. Clockmaker is a nice horse but this is his first run for us. Amethyst Dawn loves cut - the softer the better - but she has won on all types."
Richard Fahey, trainer of Lord Aeryn "He had a bad draw at Ascot and you can draw a line through that run. It will be tough from stall 16 but it would help him if they come up the stands' side down the straight. There's still a bit of improvement in him."
David O'Meara, trainer of Mont Ras and Quite Sparky "Mont Ras is very progressive but he did go up 12lb for his last win. He's a lovely horse but good ground is what he wants, unlike Quite Sparky, who won the Carlisle Bell consolation race in a similar time to the Bell itself. He's useful and I would find it hard to split him from Mont Ras."
Elaine Burke, trainer of Miami Gator and Mountain Cat "Miami Gator had a big win at Carlisle and continues to be in good order. York is a front-runner's track so it should suit him. I'm not sure if Mountain Cat will run." Tom Tate, trainer of Prince Of Dance "He ran his best race for us last time out at Newcastle. Providing there is enough cut in the ground he should run well again."
