BEDMINSTER, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 13, 1999--

Southern Entertainment and American Digital Communications, Inc.

choose Loral Skynet and EchoStar strategic alliance offering

digital-based services to cable operators, programmers, and DTH

Loral Skynet today announced that Southern Entertainment Television, Inc. and American Digital Communications, Inc. (OTCBB: ADCM) have chosen the Skynet Direct(TM) satellite-based digital platform to distribute their specialized programming throughout North America and the Caribbean.

"The Skynet Direct platform is in full operation, and we welcome our new specialty programmer customers to this unique service," said Terry Hart, president, Loral Skynet. "Niche program providers worldwide are discovering the advantages of combining their resources on this common DVB (digital video broadcast) platform, the only one of its kind in the United States, to give their programming the widest possible audience with minimal investment."

Skynet Direct, a strategic alliance between Loral Skynet and EchoStar, provides niche programmers with a platform for end-to-end direct-to-home (DTH) satellite transmission and distribution services across North America. A second alliance between these two companies, SkyVista, complements Skynet Direct by offering consumers an all-in-one DTH service that brings together a wide range of niche programming content, along with basic cable programming, via a single set-top box, accessible through just one programming access card and electronic program guide.

Southern Entertainment Television, Inc. (The SET) will use Skynet Direct to distribute three channels of Southern gospel and bluegrass music videos: the Southern Gospel Music Channel, Bluegrass Music Channel, and the Traditional Black Gospel Music Channel, to its viewers across North America and the Caribbean. The SET is expected to begin service by the second quarter 1999.

Southern Entertainment, Inc. will join American Digital Communications, Inc. who is already using the Skynet Direct platform to distribute its TrackPower(tm) programming, a direct-to-home simulcasting service that provides live horse-racing video to subscribers throughout North America. As a part of Skynet Direct, TrackPower is the first programmer to provide dedicated live horseracing channels with traditional broadcast programming to horse racing fans and participants.
