Loose Women treated me like piece of meat; TELLY SEXISM ROW Trainer Daniel says he was axed because he wouldn't go topless.

A MUSCLEBOUND personal trainer has claimed that Loose Women treated him like "a bit of meat" and dropped him as a guest after he refused to take his top off.

Daniel Wheeler wrote on Facebook: "Four days before I am meant to go on Loose Women, the researcher has pulled me from the show as I refuse to take my top off.

"I'm pretty sure if I was a woman, this would never be asked.

"I've spent a lot of time preparing for Wednesday... to now be sacked off and treated like a bit of meat."

Daniel told our sister paper The Daily Mirror: "I lost eight stone over two years and the interview was meant to be about this transformation and how I built my fitness company - which is just for women - off the back of it.

"But the researcher wanted me to do a topless feature walking up and down a catwalk."

Daniel said he thought about it, then refused. But the show "carried on pushing" so he agreed to lift his top and show his abs.

He said he then realised he wasn't comfortable with that either, so he called the show and told them. He went on: "They still pushed, so they asked if they could film me working out in the gym topless and I said no.

"Then they emailed and said I had been dropped. I felt pressured and objectified as a man.

"Can you imagine if it was Top Gear and Katie Price was dropped as a guest for refusing to take her top off? There would be outrage.

"I knew this interview was coming up so I spent PS10,000 redoing my website, and now I'm out of pocket."

Loose Women was briefly taken off air last month after a protest by Fathers 4 Justice campaigners accusing the show of "reverse sexism".
